2 Introduction Welcome to our 2013 catalogue to which we have given a fresh new look. We look forward to an exciting year as we introduce a larger-than-ever number of new products to our range along with some other changes and improvements. We were established in 1985 and known as Abbey Brass Company for many years, as sales of brassware represented the majority of our business. However, more recently, our cast iron and hand forged ranges have become much more popular. As such we felt it was important to have a name that better reflected who we are and what we do, so from 1 January 2013 we are now trading as ABC Ironmongery. Supplying the needs of our customers in a professional and timely manner still remains our priority. The same great service of next day delivery is available as standard from our range. However, if you are looking for a specific product and can t see it on our website or in the catalogue then please ask. It may be possible to source it or even manufacture it so it can be added to our range. Many of our customers have asked if it is possible to buy from us online via our website and I am pleased to say that we are looking at introducing this facility later in the year. 43 Conditions of Sale 1. Goods will be invoiced at prices ruling at the date of despatch. Prices are per each unless otherwise stated and are subject to alteration without notice. Quantity discounts are available. 2. A minimum order of (net goods only) will apply to small orders. 3. Cancellation of an order cannot be accepted, or goods be returned for credit without the prior consent of the Company. Unless damaged or faulty, all returned items will be subject to a 10% restocking charge 4. Payment for the whole of the price of the goods ordered together with any applicable charges for carriage must be received before any order can be accepted, unless otherwise agreed in advance in writing. 5. For UK mainland deliveries, carriage is by Royal Mail up to 2kg and by next-working day courier thereafter. Please enquire for overseas rates. 6. Overseas orders are dealt with as special cases and will require a specific quotation. 7. ABC Ironmongery cannot be held responsible for losses incurred by late/non-delivery of goods for causes beyond their control. 8. Risk in the goods shall pass to the customer immediately on delivery to the customer. 9. The customer is advised to inspect the goods immediately on arrival and advise the Company of any shortages or damage of goods and shall give written notice including full details within 7 days of delivery. The Company can take no responsibility for damages or shortages advised outside this time and furthermore the goods shall be deemed to be in all respects in accordance with the contract. 10. Liability: a) The Company s liability whether in respect of one claim or in the aggregate arising out of any contract shall not exceed the purchase price payable under the contract. b) Except as specifically provided in these conditions, no liability is accepted for any direct or indirect costs, damages or expenses relating to damage to property or injury or loss to any person firm or company or for any loss of profits or production arising out of or occasioned by any defect in or failure of goods or materials or parts thereof supplied by the Company. 11. Loss or damage in transit Where goods are sent carriage paid the Company will replace free of charge goods damaged or lost in transit provided that written notification is given to the Company within three days of delivery or in the case of total non-delivery notice is given to the carriers and the Company within seven days of the date of notice of despatch. 12. In accordance with our policy of continuous improvement we reserve the right to modify or amend without notice the specification of any of our products. 13. The interpretation and performance of this agreement shall be constructed and any dispute connected therewith shall be resolved in accordance with the Laws of England only and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts in England. 14.
