Photographic Illustrations Robin D. Giles So high... 7 "I love you" Something calls me How can we ever We ll not pass this way again Lilac buds are soft The woods are smoldering now Morning pours sparkling clear Somewhere in the grass vii
Table of Contents Pebbles... 1 My when is always now... 3 Yesterday... 5 So high... 7 So many things... 9 Rightness or wrongness Within us lies tomorrow The time I spend How do unschooled crabs Unless you ve been hungry What I see Time is a dragon If you don t risk Looking down Ode to a Microbe No night so dark Perhaps Love I love you Dreams Before you Spring April ix
Who are you Sometimes time If no two snowflakes To make unseen visible Think If I could take Something calls me To do something How can we ever Don t confuse Dandelions I ve gone out to listen Peeper, peeper, peeper Rain scampers Dandelions do not fly Harsh words It s good to see Things don t look the same We ll not pass this way again All things seem possible I would have you run, dance, and play Death s threat diminishes Time is an illusion Saying something often enough I cannot mourn x
Dawn You and I I saw a diamond When solutions Facts create the outside Into time I ll sing a song The kitten s playing Lilac buds are soft Today I am Life on Earth Dip, dash Through this morning s sparkling grass From casually kept lawn He spoke earnestly Money really won t be important Why can t I remember Rain washed away If humanity could move I can t see Perhaps infants smile Minutely creased Questions Running, singing, dancing The woods are smoldering now The chestnut candles xi
Change Why is a wonder-filled word Maybe I do stand out I m alive in the present If you are bored now Some people talk freely Before you speak Celebrate It s difficult Strength does not depend Morning pours sparkling clear Love is the greatest gift Only knowing love Only you can decide Relationships make a difference All things change Words Now Somewhere in the grass Perhaps, with a hug I reflect For me the difference Have you ever come Never give up Good, better, best xii
Time must be spent It s foolish Black cape The wind is cautious Herring Gulls Perhaps it s childish Ash and maple The hills put on Rain completes Without thought A single storm The rain If we don t like No matter Yesterday We are the result xiii

Pebbles working together can do more than create temporary swirls, we can direct rivers of the future to refresh a weary world. 1
SO HIGH So high, so high, and yet on unclipped wings I would soar higher still until my feathers brushed the sky and rubbed a clear space through eternity that I might see the bright fields of here and now. 7
I love you, sings each rock and tree and angel that I see. I love you, sings the might and beauty of the ocean and the sky. I love you, momentary child of Earth; I love you. Pass it on. 35
If you are bored now, and know it, your alternatives are probably only three: remain bored, leave, or transform the situation creatively. 153
Good, better, best which do you want to be? Choose carefully; your decision will affect many others and eternity. 193
