1 ABOUT THE PROJECT The Master Plan for the Expansion of Hanging Rock State Park will create a vision for the nearly 750 acres of land added to the park in The new property includes Vade Mecum, which includes the former Camp Seroma, as well as the former Moores Springs campground site and surrounding land. The recommendations of the final master plan will guide future development over the next several decades. CONTACT US Have questions? Want to provide additional feedback? Have a story to share? We welcome further input and you can do this by ing the design team or accessing the project website. info@hangingrockexpansion MasterPlan.com Project Website: ExpansionMasterPlan.com PUBLIC INPUT Project planning commenced in January 2017 and the Master Plan is expected to be complete in September There will be 1-2 additional opportunities for public input. Follow the project website for updates on the next public meeting, where a draft concept will be presented. PURPOSE OF MEETING The purpose of Public Meeting #2 is to gain valuable feedback from the community on ideas for future improvements. The three concepts are supported by a series of vignettes. The concepts are based on input received from the community, site analysis and feedback from key stakeholders during the first phase. INSTRUCTIONS 1. First Task We ask that you select the one overall option that comes closest to your perspective on how the property should be developed. The 3 options illustrate an overall approach to future improvements on the property. 2. Second Task We ask that you review the design vignettes and choose between the options for each Key area. The design vignettes provide an opportunity to better understand the physical form associated with each option for the Key areas. They also provide an opportunity for more detailed feedback. For example: You may prefer Option A overall, but would like to see some tent camping at Moore Springs. Voting on the vignettes will allow you to make that desire clear. Key areas include: Vade Mecum Main Campus Vade Mecum West Vade Mecum North Vade Mecum East Moores Springs Former Campground Moores Springs Ed Booth Road Area Vade Mecum Sunset Point Further descriptions of the three options are on the second page. The third page is your ballot. One side is the ballot and the back side allows for any additional comments you want to provide. 3. Most importantly, ask questions and let us know what you think. There are several members from the Design Team and the State present today to answer your questions. You also can provide feedback through the project website.
