1 Behind the HARDING Label We re a family of six with a business employing three neighbors. We live and work in the Cascades, a short walk from the fly waters of the North Umpqua River. Fly fishing is a part of our life and making gear to sell to our friends is how we ve earned our living since 976. Beginning with backpacks, duffels and dive gear, we soon developed rod cases and fly fishing specific bags. Each product has been used, abused, worn out, evaluated, revised, and recut to attain the desired effect. We have taken no short cuts and use only the finest materials available. What you see here, today, is the edge of our efforts. We hope that you will enjoy perusing our offerings and will benefit from your purchases. It s a joy to serve you. Michael and Etivise Harding

2 Fly Rod & Reel Cases Mini Trout Rod & Reel Cases The - line weight reels are best protected in a smaller reel pocket. Steelhead reels are a larger diameter and wider. The wider PVC pipe was necessary to fit these line weight rods. The reel pocket is wider and extends several inches forward to give a proper fit. Master Rod & Reel Cases A rod with a butt extension and a really wide large diameter reel is easier to place and remove with this original zipper flap design. Tested by the Harding boys for two summers on the North Umpqua, we knew it would be popular when it was the first one the boys wanted when going fishing. Close inspection of this rod and reel reveal it to be a beautiful work. To protect this instrument, I designed a case with a semi-rigid foam box (# /8 foam) and a two zipper foam-filled flap for easy insertion and removal. Placing a / foam pad on the tip prevents rod splitting if it were to bottom out. The adjustable handle strap detaches at one end and is long enough to secure to the boat in rough conditions. Our main concern was how to pad the reel section to allow the very large diameter and wide reel and very long rod (-piece ) to easily enter and exit. The zipper cover helps prevent ice build up while slowing water and dust penetration. Ideal for protecting rods in their socks during storage or travel. The Reel Pouch A simple drawstring pouch cut from our thickest, most luxuriant poly-felt. This is perhaps the fanciest reel pouch available. Two sizes: Trout and Tarpon Fly Rod Sock Our stiff poly-felt material solved a lot of extra expense problems. The old flimsy rod sock fabric required a hood of sorts to protect the rod ends.
