3 I will be using this during the first few weeks of 1 st grade. If you are a Kindergarten or Pre- K teacher, you will probably use it throughout the school year as you introduce each letter. You can use the colored alphabet chart to display in your classroom or shrink it, laminate it, and give it to each student as a reference. The black and white version can also be used. For the poems, I will display the colored poem and we will read it together as a class numerous times. Then I will give the students the black and white copy that they can trace the words of the poem. This is great handwriting practice at the beginning of the school year. I will send home the blank copy along with the copy they traced for homework. They can read the poem and write the words. You can also do this in class. Of course, use this as you see fit in your own classroom.
