2 WELCOME AND THANK YOU Shropshire Junior Football League would like to thank Market Drayton Town FC for hosting the Shropshire Charity Cup Finals and we extend a warm welcome to club officials, managers and players of the U13 and U14 teams from Shrewsbury Juniors and Shifnal Harriers. We hope all teams and supporters enjoy their final and Good Luck to all teams today. The league sends a special thank you to The Georgia Williams Trust, as The Leagues RESPECT partners, who are pleased to provide and present the sponsored Man of the Match awards. 4 CHARITY WORK BY SJFL The Charity cheque presentation SJFL raises funds for charitable donations through the leagues charity cup competition for U10, U11, U13 and U14 age groups. Teams pay an entry fee and collect donations at their cup matches along with clubs making separate donations. The funds are kept in a charity fund account and each year member clubs and league nominate children s/young people charities to receive the donation. This year the league raised over 2700 and donated 500 each to five charities. The charities this year were: Cardiac Risk in The Young. The Harry Johnson Trust. Perry Riding for the Disabled Group. The Georgia Williams Trust and Red Cross Young Carers. Since the new millennium SJFL has raised over and gifted 51 charities. Photo call includes all the charities and SJFL officers with large cheque for The Georgia Williams Trust is excited to be associated with the Shropshire Junior Football League. Our Trust was set up through tragically losing Georgia, but we were overwhelmed by people wanting to donate and do something positive with the money raised in Georgia s spirit. She never excluded anyone from her circle of friends, and strived to include and help everyone. It is most apt that we link up with SJFL as we also promote respect in our Trust this is between others in every way - not just in sports, but in everyday life. The Trust aims to help children from the ages of reach their goals in life and looks at ways we can get as many children involved as possible, and perhaps achieve something they didn t think possible.
