2 CLUB HISTORY Wests Bulldogs Rugby Club is a proud community club with a rich history and culture that has served as a home away from home for thousands of rugby players since Centrally located in the heart of Toowong, the popular club has recently undergone major refurbishment, leading to our brand new Kennel framed by our historic fig trees and stunning battleground of Sci-Fleet Stadium. When you nominate to sponsor our incredible club, you are not only supporting a club, you are joining our Wests Bulldogs family. In 2018 Wests have successfully established a foundation with Australian Sports Foundation (ASF). ASF is the only organisation in Australia to have Deductible Gift Recipient status for sports. This means that if you partner with us for your fundraising, all donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. 3 BACKGROUND AND INFO Wests Bulldogs Rugby Football Club is based in Toowong, approx 3 km from the Brisbane CBD. The home ground on Sylvan Road is more commonly known and recognised as The Kennel. Players and their families are typically drawn from the inner western suburbs of Brisbane including Toowong, Auchenflower, Milton, Paddington, Bardon, Taringa, Indooroopilly, St Lucia, Graceville, Sherwood and Kenmore whilst extending along the western corridor out to and beyond Ipswich.
