Nominations will be held in July. Positions up for election will be President, Secretary, and Field Equipment Manager. The opposite positions are not up until the next year. We nominate in July, vote in August, and new team will start in September. In order to be nominated, you need to attend at least 5 meetings in the previous year. Vice President Vice President will not be returning next year. Looking for interested parties. Treasurer

3 Monthly Balances This month s revenue is $ Expenses of $6, Checking balance = $14, Yankee Candle is still missing a check, all umbrellas were sold, the equipment was the biggest expense this month. Referee - 3 games were taken out. Will add back in the 50/50 money. Family Fun Day - baskets brought in $209.00, concessions brought in $ We had receipts for $ and $36.00 for Hershey Bars. Our profit was $ Heather s donations will come out of that ($ from concessions) and Alex s Lemonade Stand will come out of donations. The board agreed to give Alex s Lemonade Stand $ Secretary Motion to approve last month s minutes - Approved by Chris- seconded by John. Fundraising/Event Coordinator We are done with fundraising. We do an end of year report and it will tell you all about the fundraisers and what we made. It s helpful to do the budget for next year. Basket raffles - the tickets are ready to be pulled for gifts. Lacrosse Coordinator Jeff did not attend meeting. Coaches Updates:

4 K-2 - Coach John Both teams are doing awesome. Trying to put together a beach tournament team for Wildwood, NJ. There s only one other team signed up so far. We will not attend if there are not more teams signed up. 3 / 4 - Coach Keith,did not attend 5 / 6 - Coach Brett Coach Vinnie has been coming down to some of our practices along with High School Players. It s been very helpful to have him run drills and see how they operate. 7 / 8 - Coach Derek, did not attend Equipment/Field Manager End of Year Tournament The format will be the same as last year. The playoff games start this week for the teams of 3/4 s up. They will be played on a weeknight. Not sure when the actual schedule will come out but expect to play this week. K-2 s will have their playdates on the tournament day. Any team knocked out of the tournament from a championship playoff game will play round-robin games (3 or maybe 4 games) on tournament day. They are shortened 20 minute halves with running clocks. We rented the big pavilion. We are bringing the grill, there were hotdogs left over from concessions. We will use the Signup app for parents to donate items (this is not worth any workbond points). We are the bottom seeds so we will be playing the #1 and #2 seeds. The games will not be home. Practices will be normal this week.

5 Old Business Bears Senior Night Our League Representative is open for anyone willing to take it on. New Business Family Fun Day - It was very rainy and there were complaints from the other teams for playing in that weather. There were no times available for make-ups. We tried to work with them to move it. One team did forfeit, it was the option for the other teams. Yearbook Coaches letters are due May 22nd. Quotes from the Minute Men who did it last year, the price was higher by $ There is another one that will do it electronically, waiting to hear about a quote. Will check in with West End Printing for a quote. The major concern was that we do our tournament page but then need the yearbooks printed for our End of Year Party on Friday. The Minute Men have no problems with that short of turnaround but they were $ higher in price. Sponsors - we have $90.00 in hand. We have verbal commitments from Tamara for $ Jackie has verbal commitments too but did not give a number. Shout Outs - we have $ We will still collect them until May 26th. Do online and then give money to a Board Member at practice. Same goes for the ads. End of Year Party: June 10 - End of season party at Mountain View Park.

6 Platters from Shop-Rite (same as last year). Parents that still need food points can donate pasta salads to party. If we don t get enough, we can just make it ourselves. We have plenty of chips and drinks leftover from the season. Rachel s husband has agreed to DJ at the party. He can also announce for the prizes and gifts. $5.00 for extra people to attend. We pay for Board Members, Team Parents, coaches and athletes. We can have up to 200+ attending. We will do invitation online and RSVP link to signup. Last day to pay will be at the tournament. Questions/Concerns Concussion Protocol - We did have a player hurt on the 7/8 team with a concussion. It was our first one hurt with that and we didn t have any protocol in place for a concussion. Jeff contacted US Lacrosse for their protocol. He will be putting together information on our website. The coaches will have a form to carry in their bag if an athlete gets hurt with a head injury. The coach fills out the form and gives it to the parent. The athlete is not allowed back until their doctor clears them. This is for head injuries only. Summer Program An will be coming out this week. We are running two different programs this summer. Keeps sticks in our players hands. We will run our summer skills and drills on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We will have our athletes from all levels focus on the basics. We have a volunteer sign up for coaches. So far there are no coaches signed up. If

7 we don t have coaches signed up for a day, practice will be cancelled. This will start right away in June. No practice on the July 4th week. Time are 6:00-7:30 pm at our PVI field. No need to sign up, it will be a drop in for practice. Summer Grizzlies Teams are being formed. We are trying to organize a team for each level. So far we should have 3 different level teams. There will be an going out this week to sign up. There will be a $50 fee that will take care of lending equipment and painting fields. We are asking for families to sign up now but will not be charged until we can guarantee we have enough players. We are going to have practices on 2 nights during the weeks and games during the summer. We are looking at having 3 to 4 interleague games and 1 tournament from teams in our league rather than doing just competitive tournaments. We are in contact with a coordinator from a tournament that is willing to put us in brackets that are evenly matched for our players. We are reluctant because of the cost per player (could be $100+ per player to play on our tournament teams). We could do fundraising to offset some of the costs. If we do one tournament, we would be guaranteed to play 4 games. We would need 15 players. Full field play for teams of 3/4 s on up. Laxapoolza is June 16th and 17th Lehigh Lax Fest is June 16th and June 24th - we could be competitive in this one but cost is $1500+ per team.
