5 Rules First Grade Football Rules: Basics: Field size will be 60 yards Offense will get 8 plays, regardless of scoring, for offensive possessions (please be prepared we are limited on time) Scoring 6 points for TD, 1 extra point from 5 yd line, 2 extra point from 10 yd line. Coaches are required to follow base offense/defensive plans Coach to serve as referee No kicking or punting Offense 5 players on Offense (C, QB, RB, W, W) Additional plays run out of base offense are allowed No blocking for 1st Grade Defense: 5 players on Defense (LB, C, C, S, S) Defensive players must be 3 yards off of the line of scrimmage Defensive players can go after ball carrier once ball carrier has crossed line of scrimmage Safety: Players are required to wear mouth piece Shirts need to be tucked in Parents must stay off the field
