3 Our Venue Bacchus Marsh Grammar Address: 37 South Maddingley Road, Maddingley Contact: (03) Cost: $90 per day - $80 introductory price for Winter 2018 Time: 7.00am 6.30pm General Information All new families will need to complete enrolment information. Relevant forms can be found on our website, and at our Y Central office, 7 Lyons St Nth, Ballarat. There is a 2 day processing time for all enrolments so please ensure you allow for this by enrolling and booking early. Fees The daily program fee includes any incursions or excursions occurring on the day. It is YMCA Ballarat policy that School Holiday bookings must be paid for at the time of booking. Please note there are no credits, refunds or day transfers on Holiday Program cancellations. Child Care Subsidy Families will receive benefits off their fee once they have approved their bookings using their mygov account. It is important that families approve their attendances as families will not receive or be backdated for any days that are attended before approving through their mygov account. All YMCA Ballarat Outside School Hours Care services are registered on the Child Care Subsidy System (CCSS). This means we communicate with Centrelink electronically to receive your CCS information for each venue your family attends. Please call the Family Assistance Office on to ensure your children are registered for Child Care Subsidy As YMCA Ballarat is on CCSS, please ensure you provide us with CRN number and Date of Birth of your child/ren and parent who receives CCS. What to Bring A nutritious lunch (no nut or nut products) including enough snacks for the day and a clearly named water bottle, Sun Smart approved hat and weather appropriate, labelled clothing need to be brought to the program every day. Sunscreen will be provided but if your child has sensitive skin we recommend they bring their own. We will provide fruit platters for afternoon tea. Our Holiday Program endeavours to be a NUT FREE zone. Activities Scheduled activities may change due to circumstances outside our control such as extreme weather or changes made by activity providers. Bus Departure Times Departure and arrival times back to the venue are subject to change. Please confirm with the venue if required.

4 Activity Descriptions Activity Description Important information Art Attack Become an artist as we create a style splatter painting - where movement and action create art. Use paper and your imagination to construct an installation artwork that will suspend belief and create a moment of magic. Find art in the everyday, by creating a picture or edible sculpture using fruits and vegetables. Explore how colour and lines can be used to express different emotions. Ballarat Wildlife Park Balloon Mania Board Games Bonanza Get up close to some of Australia s iconic animals kangaroos, cute wombats, koalas and little penguins. Watch the Tasmanian Devils and crocodiles in action and learn about huge snakes and exotic reptiles. Who knew that you could have so much fun with balloons? Our balloon-based activities will allow you to become an athlete, an artist, a supermodel and much, much more! Design a unique costume and strut your stuff! Make a stress ball, take part in creative games and be intrigued with our balloon science activities. There s nothing better than going old school with some of the most classic games out there board games! Get creative with Scrabble words, make some of the yummiest dominoes ever, and play the biggest game of Snakes and Ladders you ve ever seen! 5 Circus Capers Disco Party Experience Japan & Martial Arts Workshop Fantastic Friendships Fitness for Kids Footy Fanatics Clinic Roll up! Roll up! For an experience filled with wonderful circus antics! Make your own juggling balls, participate in fun circus games, and create your very own circus performance to impress your friends and family. Disco, dance; make music and play! Lots of fun music and movement activities on offer today! Bang, shake and stomp your way through the wonderful world of music. Make musical instruments, create your very own song, be fascinated by some musical science experiments and dance along to your favourite tunes. Experience elements of Japan s rich culture today. Create origami animals and Pokémon themed craft, cook Okonomiyaki a delicious Japanese pancake. Learn some safe Martial Arts moves from a local expert. It s all about friends, making new ones and spending time with those close to you. Let s come together and enjoy some super fun team challenges, make friendship chains and bracelets and simply have a great time! Build your flexibility and strength and keep energised with a variety of active group games. Design and decorate your own hula-hoop and use your creation in a range of activities. Dress in your favourite team s colours for our Footy Friday. We ll be learning and practising some footy skills such as kicking and handballing with a local footy coach. We ll also be making some awesome football themed craft and playing group games. Children can come dressed in their team colours.

Catch one of the latest movie releases at the cinema at Watergardens and enjoy creating some tasty treats. Stretch your legs and burn off some energy by joining in our imaginative team games. Step back in time and find yourself in Australia's gold rush era! Visit the prosperous town of Ballarat and get transported to Victorian times with period costumes and fun activities in the fascinating period-style Sovereign Hill. Experience the joys of winter! It s said that no two snowflakes are the same craft your own unique flakes with flair. Take them home to display on your windows with colourful winter decorations that you create. Snack on banana snowmen and design a glittery snowstorm in a jar. Get moving with our fun winter games which include races, relays and bowling.
