5 Tournament Officer s Report What a day, the best yet for a Cheshire clout number of archers 73 took part from 24 clubs around the country. 26 tassels claimed on the day: 1 gold, 2 red, 2 blue, 8 black and 13 whites, well done to you all. Congratulations to this years new Cheshire Champions, the weather was kind to us with fair skys and slight breeze. the day went smoothly with no problems thanks to our judges Neil Foden and Lindsay Lawrence, special thanks must go to Neston company of archers for the use off the ground and their efforts to all who helped lay the field out, also a big thank you to our Lady P, Sue Suffield from Bowmen Of Lyme (her hand must have ached after all the awards, shaking hands ). Also a big thank you to all the parents who stayed with the juniors, 18 in total took part, I think they all had a good day, these juniors need encouragement to carry on shooting clout they are the future of the sport, so all you clubs out there keep up their interest and take them to other clout shoots. Good shooting and I look forward to seeing you all at the F.I.T.A clout championships in may 2008 (much bigger target).
