We ve had an outpouring of support and volunteers willing to step up to offer help and we truly appreciate it. We ask that you please be patient with us. If you notice that something isn t right, please offer up a solution or to help out. We will not be productive receiving negative complaints without solutions. Chain of command will be strictly enforced this season. If a parent/player has a complaint we will refer them to the Head Coach. If it isn t resolved at that level, it will go to Jeff, our lacrosse coordinator, for review. After he reviews it, he will try to resolve the issue. If it is still not resolved, it will then go to the board. If anything comes to the board first, it will be bounced back to the first level. Again, we will be strict on this.

4 We use various platforms to get information out to everyone. One tool is social media to post information. Currently, coaches, team parents, and board members can post on Facebook. All posts get pre-approved by board members before they are posted. We never approve complaints. Remember this tool is used to provide information to parents. Currently parents are able to post comments. It is not a platform for parents to complain. Other leagues have had problems with this and have disabled the comments function on Facebook. If we have a parent posting negative comments they will lose access. If it continues to be an issue, we will remove the comments function. We needed to bring on a board member to fill the role of treasurer. Jen Counterman will fill that role. She has experience with many programs including Excel which is a huge bonus for us! Thank you again to everyone that has stepped up and continues to lend helping hands! We greatly appreciate it! Vice President Thank you to everyone for all of their support and help! I will be having surgery soon then will begin treatment. I m greatly appreciative of all of the support! I ll be back as soon as I can. Treasurer Monthly Balances Monthly deposits of $1, $651 was from registration. $875 from fundraising. Expenses of $ Checking balance = $28, Uniform and Equipment bill has not been paid yet. 5 Motion to approve last month s minutes - Approved by Chris- seconded by John Fundraising/Event Coordinator Fan Gear just closed out and we don t have the numbers yet. Game socks should be in soon. We had 90 pairs pre-ordered and we ordered some extras to sell. Yankee Candle will close April 8th. So far the numbers have been down compared to last year s totals. We need to have more online orders because that gives back more of a profit. The incentive is if you sell $300 you get your work bond point and your player gets a $20 gift card. It s super easy to setup and you can use social media to help you sell. Joined in with the girls LAX to sell umbrellas. We will have 24 umbrellas to sell at $20 a piece. They should be here in 2 weeks. Picture Day is Sunday, March 25th.Timed on /facebook please arrive 15 minutes early. Team parents will send out reminders. Last day to RSVP for the Lehigh lax game is /26th. I will be collecting money at practices this week. Currently 54 signed up to attend. Lacrosse Coordinator Jeff is attending the league meeting regarding all of the rules and interpretations. He will report after that meeting. Coaches Updates: K-2 - Coach John We had our first outdoor practice. The 2nd year s demonstrated that they picked up their sticks in the off season. The younger ones that attended winter workouts maintained learned skills and overall they are picking up really quick.

6 3 / 4 - Coach Keith,did not attend 5 / 6 - Coach Brett We had an awesome two hour outside practice on the field yesterday. I am changing Saturday s practice to 10:00-12:00 pm so that players could attend the Lehigh LAX game. 7 / 8 - Coach Derek We ve had many practices outside in the parking lot and on field. So far everything has been good. Attendance could be better. Equipment/Field Manager All game schedules are posted online. Still waiting on Easton for K-2 game and 3-4 game. Will post locations online. Uniforms came in and have been handed out. If there is a sizing problem, please Chris. Team parents will be stressing to parents NOT TO CUT OUT THE TAGS. If the tags are cut off of the jerseys, the parent is responsible for paying the full price for the jerseys. We need the tags to sort sizes and it will be a nightmare if the tags are removed. Equipment has almost all been fitted and handed out. Waiting on one more to be fitted. We ordered more gloves and will swap out those that have bigger or smaller gloves. If there is an issue, please Chris. Fields Lower field is completely painted and ready for practice. Upper fields will need to decide the layout because both K-2 and 3-4 full fields won t fit. Maybe paint full K-2 field and half of 3-4 field? All goals were placed with the exception of one that needs to be put together (that was destroyed during school recess). That will be arrive once Chris puts it together. Old Business Parent Meeting/Hockey Game

7 New Business PV High School Senior LAX Night will be on May 3rd at 6:00 pm (rain date will be on May 7th). Coach Vinny is giving us halftime for the K-2 s to play a scrimmage against each other. Older boys could be ball boys. Waiting to hear from Coach Vinny as to what age can be ball boys. Not everyone can do it but we will put names of the boys interested into a hat and pick names. Helmets and Gloves need to be worn on the sideline. Need coaches to help out and supervise on the sidelines. Important Dates: March 19 - PVHS Home scrimmage at 5:30pm March 24 - Lehigh vs. Navy game at 3:00pm March 25 - Picture Day March 30 - Senior Scholarship Application names need to be in to guidance. April 7 - Our first games at Nazareth. Will find out if games have to be pushed back due to field conditions. It s out of our control. We should find out a couple days prior to games. April 15 - Board Meeting May 19 - Family Fun Day at the high school stadium (rain date is May 20th). June 2 - End of year tournament at Grange Field. All games will be on one day. We are looking to secure at pavilion for $200. It will be a location that we can meet and hang out between games. June 10 - End of season party at Mountain View Park. Times to be announced. Questions/Concerns

8 What will be done with old uniforms? We offered to high school first for former players that wanted their old jerseys. Waiting to hear back from them. We also offered to donate them to other leagues but no one wanted them. They may have to be thrown out. Board will make roster cards for parents. Siblings (boys and girls that play lacrosse) can be photographed together on picture day. Stickers will be placed on helmets on picture day (we are putting player s # s on helmets to easily identify them and also our support for our board members who are battling an illness stickers). Parents of K-2 an 3/4 will find out what team they will be on by end of March. How will they be divided on A and B? We reached out how other teams are dividing (size or skill). K-2 divided by skill and size. Can B play up on A? Yes, but A can never play down on B. Discussion about ages on other teams came up. Our league does not require proof of birth certificates at the beginnings of each game like other sports do. Bob brought up that US Lacrosse is in a transition year where they will start to be the keepers of player s DOB, coach s clearances, and coach s certifications. This will take the burden off of the board and league (as long as the league approves it) because there will be no questions as to who can play on what team and questions about ages. Sam attended the league meeting and there are some new programs starting up in North Hunderton and Upper Perkiomen. Upper Perkiomen would like to do some scrimmages but no other information on that is available. PVYA Girls LAX -Tanya reported that they ve had many outdoor practices. They are doing the umbrella fundraiser along with us. They would also like to do a

9 poncho fundraiser with us but it needs to be researched. They were also able to schedule 3 Home games where all age groups will be playing in one location. Our calendar/schedule is available on the google calendar and it s updated frequently. It contains everything PVYA Boys LAX on one calendar. It s super easy to access on your smartphone. Family Fun Day now has a committee headed by Kristen Pierri. They will be meeting soon and will be discussing team baskets for raffle. Sam also is donating his awesome homemade BBQ and pulled pork.
