1 Announcing our shore Residential Camp Dear Parents, We are excited that your daughter is attending the 2018 Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp. The youth soccer player s development is special and our efforts to concentrate this camp week on the four pillars of soccer (technical, mental, physical, and tactical) will help provide a deeper understanding and enjoyment of the game. We appreciate the opportunity to make Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp a part of your child s soccer curriculum. Each year we partnered with River Soccer Club to provide a quality pitch setting utilizing their facilities. This unique eastern shore environment, making use of vacation housing, should provide for quality soccer on the pitch and more warm and friendly housing arrangements for each of our camper s stay. A further plus is that the campers will NOT be served cafeteria prepared food abut instead enjoy home cooked meals. Please carefully review the following camp information and bring completed Medical Liability and Photography Waivers to check-in. Self medication is not permitted at camp. All medication will be checked in at registration and Chaperones will administer during each camper s stay. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. 4 List of things to bring to camp... Welcome to Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp held at River Soccer Club in Frankford, Delaware near Fenwick Island/Ocean City, Maryland. Over the years, we have developed a list of items that will maximize your camp experience. In preparation for attending the Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp, we suggest that you pack the items included on the list below. This year our residential housing allows for convenient use of laundry facilities in the rentals homes that will be housing our campers. Chaperones on site will be able to assist players with minimal laundry needs during their stay. SOCCER AND CASUAL GEAR Soccer ball (balls may be purchased at the camp check in for $25) Shin guards** (required to be worn at all sessions) Soccer shoes (cleats and soccer flats break them in before attending camp) Tennis shoes / Slides (no cleats allowed once off the pitch - rest your feet) 6-10 pair shorts (for training time and leisure time) 8-10 t-shirts 8-10 pair socks Swimsuit and towel Sweatshirt and sweatpants for cooler evening wear Bed attire wear LIENS Pillow and pillow case Sheets (twin bed) Sleeping bag or blanket Towel and washcloth TOILETRIES Soap Shampoo Toothbrush and toothpaste Sunscreen Bug spray Alarm clock or devise Water Bottle (water is available on fields proper hydration during the week is vital) Small amount of spending money ($15-$30 for snacks, drinks, essentials, and misc) Snacks (your favorite snacks can be stored in the kitchen of each home) Medical Release Form (included below) Photo Release Waiver (included below) We recommend that additional valuables such as electronic games, ipads, jewelry, etc. be left at home. 7 Photo/Video Release Waiver Authorization and Release I hereby grant permission to Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp, and its officers, trustees, employees, agents, representatives, successors, licensees and assigns to photograph and video my image, likeness, or depiction and/or that of my minor children. I hereby grant permission to Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp to edit, crop, or retouch such photographs, and waive any right to inspect the final photographs. I hereby consent to and permit photographs of me and/or those of my minor children to be used by Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp worldwide for any purpose, including educational and advertisement purposes, and in any medium, including print and electronic. I understand that Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp may use such photographs with or without associating names thereto. I further waive any claim for compensation of any kind for Soccer the Brazilian Way Soccer Camp use or publication of photographs of me and/or those of my minor children.
