1 大坑東少林欖球會 TAI HANG TUNG SHIAOLIN RUGBY CLUB Chairman s Annual Report ( ) I am pleased to write for the Club this yearly report. With full support from the committee and coaches, the Club is running smoothly and the recruitment of players is satisfactorily promising. In this season 2014/2015, we won the Shield Champion (U12 Richard Hawkes League during Flying Kukris Festival) in Dec More importantly, all participating U12 players had a remarkable moment of time in their childhood. Rugby spirit helps strengthen their body and mind. We participated into 6 full festivals and 4 regional festivals in all age groups. The head coach, Mr. Anson Kwok, led the whole team of 27 parent coaches. Not only players were devoted to rugby training and games, but also coaches were committed to continual upgrade of their coaching technique. They participated in IRB U8 coaching courses (27 Jul and 30 Nov 2014) as well as an enhancement programme organised by HKRFU (May 2015). Fan Shun-kei (ex-hong Kong Team Players) who has been a THT kid before came to visit his mother club, here on 21 Sep He shared experience and skill with his club-mates and every kids enjoyed having fun with him. It was the first time that 3 THT players undertook ball boy roles in a Premium League game on 29 Nov Mavis, Sherry and Sherlock treasured such participation. First time again, Two THT players (Keith and Tin-lok) undertook ball boy roles in Hong Kong Sevens on 27, 28 and 29 Mar On 1 Mar 2015, Kowloon Rugby Club organised a Fun Day for our players and other charity groups. It was a beautiful day. All participants enjoyed extraordinary training and games with aids of Kowloon players and Lion colts. It was really a very good opportunity for other youngsters who have not experienced to play rugby before. Rugby clearly is a Game for All. I hereby express my heartfelt thanks to Kowloon Rugby Club, Hong Kong Rugby Football Union and Lion Rugby Club for organizing such a successful event. Netball girls demonstration was appreciated. As usual, we convened a Christmas wild camping (in Sai Kung) and a daytrip (to Sha Tau Kok) for players on 19~21 Dec 2014 and 29 Dec 2014 respectively. With overwhelming responses from kids, parents and coaches, I am sure that we all enjoyed the family gathering time. My deepest thanks are given to the committee members and the coaches for their continuous support and organisation of these interesting and meaningful activities for the Club. Congratulations to Mr. Vincent Wong and Mr. Willy Chan winning the Coach of the Year and the Referee of the Year respectively.
