1 North Bullitt seniors are looking forward to a fun-filled day of indoor and outdoor activities to celebrate the last day of school with our 2017 Battle for the Belt Senior Field Day! Students need to come dressed for a fun day of games and sports! Volunteers We need the help of 30 parent volunteers in order to make the event a success. This year s Field Day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 from 7:20 a.m. 2:10 p.m. If you are able to volunteer for one of the two shifts or for both shifts, please return the form below no later than May 10th. I will contact you a week in advance to remind you of your shift time and activity assignment. I will you your game instructions and maps in advance so that you can feel comfortable with your game. When you arrive at the school, please go directly to the office, sign in and get a nametag. Then, go to the location of your station. The office will have maps to direct you. 2 Morning Games 1. Volleyball: Main gym 2. Kickball: Girls softball field 3. Dodge ball/castle Cage ball: CCR Gym Afternoon games for points Teams may enter a guy and a girl in each of the solo events for double the points. 1. Softball throw: Solo event 2. Football throw for accuracy: Team Event 3. Water Balloon Toss: up to two guys and two girls may compete for your team. 4. Obstacle Course 5. Javelin Throw Meter Dash 7. 3 legged race 8. Parachute Explosion 9. Frisbee Throw for points 10.Water balloon relay 11.Toilet Paper Over Under Relay 12. Tug-of-War 13.Marble Swimming Pool Relay: Students must use their feet to get the marbles out. 14.Duck Hunt Shoot or Tin Can Shoot with Water Guns. Supplies needed 1. Water Balloons. 100 balloons pool noodles 3. 1 mid size tarp. 8 feet by 8 feet marbles 5. 2 kiddie pools empty two liter bottles water guns or pool wands that suck up water gallon buckets plastic tumbler cups potato sacks pany hose sets ping pong balls solo cups decks of cards big sponges
3 North Bullitt Point values for all team events 10 points for 1st place 8 points for 2nd place 6 points for 3rd place 4 points for 4th place 2 points for participating in any event Senior Field Day Morning Indoor Games 1. Volleyball Tournament and Scooter Racing with plungers! Location: Main gym 2. Dodgeball Tournament: Location: CCR Gym 3. Kickball Tournament: Location: Softball Field Depending on the number of teams we will rotate equal amounts of teams to the different gyms and playing fields to compete against each other in a bracket format. Field Events: Each team will be assigned a starting point. Teams must complete all field events before we will begin the Team vs. Team events. Field event games will be scored on our team score sheets by our volunteers. 1. Football Throw: Each teammate max that can participate?)will get five throws. Each time a ball is thrown into the target the team will receive points according to the target point value. After all players have thrown their five throws add all of your team points up. The team with the most points will earn first place points, etc. Supplies needed: 10 footballs, 5 hula hoops, 10 field stakes, duct tape, clipboard, pencils. 2. Pool Noodle Javelin Throw: (Up to 5 throwers may throw at a time for your team) How to play: Each competitor gets to throw their javelin as far as they can. Each competitor get three attempts. Your top overall throw needs to be marked after the first round of throwing. If a teammate sets a new record that noodle needs to be marked with the field marker and the other field marker needs to be removed. Distance thrown will be measured from where the tip lands still on the ground. The scorekeeper will record the best individual throw. Supplies needed: 10 pool noodles, 10 tennis cans, duct tape, measuring tape or measuring wheel, tracking sheet, pencils, clipboard, chair.
4 3. Potato Sack Race: How to play. Line up 5 players on the starting line. On the signal GO your players will have 2 minutes to hop down the field and back. Your team receives 1 point each time a player crosses the finish line. Switch your players each time a player crosses the finish line. The team with the most points will earn 10 points, etc. Supplies needed: 10 potato sacks, starting line, 4 cones, clip board, score sheet, pencil. 4. Obstacle Course Relay for time: How to play: Choose four teammates to relay relay race through the obstacle course. The team with the best team time will earn 10 points, etc. Supplies needed: 2 jump ropes, 2 plastic bats 5. Parachute Explosion: How to play: Have your team surround the parachute which is on the ground. The parachute will have hundreds of plastic balls on it. On the signal GO your team will lift the ] parachute and try to shake every ball off the parachute! Once all of the plastic balls have been shaken off the parachute your team will have to place all of the balls in the bag in the parachute. The team with the fastest clean-up time will earn 10 points, etc. Location: Football Field 6. Team Soccer Kick: How many points can your team score in 2 minutes of kicking? Your team will be given one soccer kick at a time. Your will team will line up in single file. 1 point is given to your team each time you can kick the soccer ball into the goal, but if you can make your soccer ball land in the smaller soccer goal that will be inside the regulation sized soccer goal your team earns 2 points per score. Your team will have 2 minutes to get as many kicks in the goal as possible. You may want to have some of your teammates act as retrievers so that you do not run out of soccer balls. Supplies needed: 1 large soccer goal, 1 smaller indoor soccer goal, 10 soccer balls, clipboard, score sheet, pencils, chair. Location: Side of the football field 7. Softball Throw for Distance: How to play: Choose your top male and female player. They will get 3 tries to throw a softball as far as they can. Record your top distance on the clipboard. Top throws for girls and guys will earn 10 points etc. Supplies needed: 6 softballs, cones for marking the record throws for boys and girls. Location: Side of the football field. Outdoor Relay Games: These games will be announced by Hunter Spencer. Teams will be told where to go and who they are competing with. These final set of games will be used to cap off the day. 1. Team vs. Team Water Cup Relay: Up to 4 teams will play at a time. Your team will have to fill up a bucket of water relay style. (2 min?) How to play: One player will fill up the water cup with water and then pass the cup to the closest teammate. Continue passing the cup until you reach your bucket. After dumping the water into the bucket the player will race back to the kiddie pool and all other teammates will adjust and shift towards their team bucket. The first team to fill their bucket wins! Supplies needed: Kiddie Pool, 10 buckets, 10 cups, clipboard, pencils, chair.
5 2. Team vs. Team Marble Relay: Up to 4 teams will play at a time. How to play: Teams will line up behind their buckets. The first player in line will run up to the kiddie pool and use their feet/toes to retrieve a marble out of the kiddie pool. (where do they put the marble?) The player then runs to their team and high fives their teammate. Continue play until t ime is up. Your game will last for 2 minutes. The team with the most marbles collected will win 10 points, etc. 3. Team vs. Team 100 Meter Relay Race How to play: 4 player per team will compete for your team. 2 boys and 2 girls will compete for your team. 2 player will line up on the starting line. 2 players will face their team at the 100 meter mark. The first player runs down the track and hands the baton off to the 2nd runner who then runs back to the 3rd runner. The 3rd runner runs back to the 4th and final runner who runs back to the finish line. The first place team will earn 10 points, etc. Tie breaks will be based on fastest times from different heats. 4. Team vs. Team Tug O War: Teams will be made up of up to 10 players. We will set up a bracket and have teams compete accordingly for points. First place will earn 10 points, etc. Bonus Games that all students to play regardless of who is on team or not. 1. Plunger Relay on Scooters: How to play: 4 players will race each other down the gym and back on scooters. Use your plungers to help you push your way down the gym and back! 2. Core hole: Challenge a friend to a game of corn hole. :) 3. Frisbee and softball throwing with friends. 4. Water Gun shooting at targets:
