2 Introduction At Stevenage Town RFC we pride ourselves on providing the facilities, coaching, support and social events that enable all the residents of Stevenage and the surrounding area to meet new people, develop new skills and have fun by playing Rugby. And when we say all the residents, we mean ALL the residents regardless of age, sex, colour or ability. As a non-profit making organisation we rely on the generosity of local businesses to ensure that we can continue to provide this focal point for the community. 3 Past, Present & Future With the growth of Stevenage as the world's first New Town, the population had trebled within a decade. It was the inspiration of the masters of Alleynes School and former pupils in 1957 to form Stevenage RUFC. Rugby was first officially played in Stevenage in 1954 when the boys of the Alleynes Grammar School combined with their masters to play a Letchworth Rugby Club XV. After almost 40 years, Stevenage RUFC and Bacavians RFC joined forces to create Stevenage Town RFC in June 1995.

4 Past, Present & Future Over twelve years on and the club is going from strength to strength with a thriving mini and youth section, three senior sides, a vets team and a fledgling girls team. The total membership now exceeds 700. The employment of a full time Youth Development Officer this year will enable us to assist local primary and secondary schools and act as a catalyst for the further development of local school children. As testament to the hard work of all our volunteers we have now been given the government CLUBMARK award and the RFU s Seal of Approval. But the club is not resting on its laurels. We have ambitious plans to relocate and develop top class sporting facilities for the next generation of rugby talent in Stevenage and the surrounding area through our Strongoak Project

9 Sponsorship Options :: Senior Players With a competitive RFU League structure a number of sponsors have requested we arrange Player Sponsorships; with options to fund membership fees, expenses and kit. These options give you a season-long exposure within the club for each player.
