June 30, 2012 PEL as of 6/5/12 There are more games and more vendors in the wings to be added up to June 15 so remember this is only a partial list and check back to see what is new! Description: Flying a Corsair late in WW II against inexperienced Japanese pilots seems easier than going up against their best pilots in a Wildcat, but what about when you re outnumbered? 2 Chariots At the Beach Description: Chariots At the Beach will offer an all day battle using Wargames Research 6 th Edition rules, set in biblical times in the middle east between the Egyptian Empire (and allies: Aramaens, Lycians, Nubians, Sea Peoples) vs. a Levantine Alliance (Assur, Babylon, Philistia, Qadesh and Nomads). Terrain will be open to be suitable for use of chariots. Armies are to predate 1000 BC and be limited to the Middle East. Anybody interested is invited to join us for a day of joyous battle! Rules: WRG 6 th Scale: 25/28 mm Number of Players: Up to 16 GM/Contact: Skip Gardella (818) sgardella5@hotmail.com 1815: The Battle of Ligny Description: A major victory by either side at Ligny would ve effectively ended the Napoleonic Wars. This was Napoleon s last victory, a very bloody affair between the French and the Prussians. At the same time northwest on the road the left wing of the French was fighting the Duke of Wellington s Anglo-Allied army at Quarte Bras (Ligny occurred 2 days before Waterloo). Game starts at 9:30 AM, runs until 8:30 PM, and features 1500 miniatures!!!!! It is the second day at Gettysburg. Can the Confederates storm the hill and get into the Union rear before the Federals grow too strongly established to be driven from the field? Game starts at 11 AM. Rules: Regimental Fire and Fury Scale: 15 mm Number of Players: 6 GM/Contact: Ed Haley and Tim Greene (949) byz369@aol.com Pillage the Village! Description: The brave men of the West attack and pillage a sleeping Orc village. Victory points will be awarded for loot carried off. Leave the rules lawyers and your serious side at home and come play for laughs! This game is suitable for all ages and the emphasis is on FUN! 3 FOG Ancients Tournament Description: 800 point Fields of Glory Ancients tournament. Three rounds. No allies except from your own basic list (example: Ancient Spanish may have Ancient Spanish Allies but not Gauls). Let s fight like men without the extra bells and whistles! First round starts at 10 AM. Loaner armies available please contact Eugene ahead of time for arrangements. Beginners are welcome. Rules: Fields of Glory Ancients Scale: 15 mm Number of Players: 6 or more (Please contact Eugene) GM/Contact: Eugene Rodriguez (951) emrthx1138@aol.com St. Basils France 1940 Description: The second battalion of the 25 th Panzer Regiment from Rommel s 7 th Panzer Division runs into the French 1 st DLM and an 18 th Dragoons squadron dug in at St. Basils, near the French-Belgian border. The Germans have to break through while the French must delay for as long as possible. No monster tanks here it s the PzKw 38t vs. the S-35 Somua. Game starts at 10 AM and runs all day. Rules: Gepanzerte Faust Scale: 15 mm Number of Players: 6 & up GM/Contact: Stephen Phenow (818) sfp55@aol.com Command Combat: Civil War Battle of Fort Donelson Description: We will be playing the Battle of Fort Donetson using the Command Combat: Civil War game system, which uses points to determine not only the victorious side, but the most successful general. The player with the highest score will receive a free DVD of the documentary series The American Civil War!!!! Rules: Command Combat: Civil War Scale: 15 mm Number of Players: 2-7 GM/Contact: Jeff McArthur (818) jeff@commandcombat.com The Battle of Sidi Bou Zid Description: The 10 th and 21 st Panzer Divisions under Colonel-General von Arnim attacked elements of the American II Corps led by Maj. General Friedenhall near the town of Sidi Bou Zid on 14 Feb in an attempt to break the Allied lines around the Axis supply port of Tunis. Fire and Maneuver is an easy to learn rule system, flexible enough to adapt to a wide variety of historical eras. Game starts at 10 AM. Rules: Fire and Maneuver Scale: 28 mm Players: 12 GM/Contact: RJ Galati (949) wideboy@cox.net

4 Board Game Basic Training Description: A variety of historical board games will be brought, taught, and played throughout the day. Among them will be Command & Colors (both Ancient and Napoleonic versions), Combat Commander: Europe, A Few Acres of Snow, A Victory Lost, and SPQR. Don t worry if you ve never tried any of these before, John will teach the rules and show everyone the ropes. Board game beginners welcome and encouraged! Tasked with evacuating wounded troops via train, they better hurry because Ukrainian T-34s are approaching. Can the Red Army get there in time to keep the last train from rolling? This short game of 30- minute duration starts at 11 AM and runs repeatedly. Rules: Flames of War Version 2 Scale: 15 mm Number of Players: 2 GM/Contact: Tom Seeling tomseeling@aol.com Maginot Line Assault Description: It s May of 1940 and the Allies sit safe and secure behind the impregnable Maginot Line. Unfortunately for them the Germans don t believe it s impregnable, and they re going to prove their point. Choose your side and show who s right while you determine the fate of France. Game starts at 11 AM and will run for 3-4 hours. Dive your aircraft into one of their ships and make them pay for their insolence, that s what! Your orders are one plane, one ship. Fulfill them and become a living God at Yasukuni Shrine.
