2 Dear Friends: I want to again personally invite everyone to our Bull & Female Sale and Appreciation Day at the farm on Saturday February 11, A lunch will be served starting at 11:30 with the sale to follow at 1:00. Again this year, instead of the cattle going through a sale ring, a video of each lot will be shown. The cattle will be penned close to the sale area for your viewing sale day, or you are welcome to come take a look any time before the sale. We like having the sale on the farm because we think that it is less stressful on the cattle and that it is a homier environment for the sale. This year we are selling some heifer calves, five bred heifers, and five bred cows. The bred heifers are from our keeping pen and were selected solely on their projected calving date. The heifer calves are also from the keeping pen. They are some really nice heifers included, but we can t keep them all. After having inquiries about selling some heifers, we thought that the only fair way for everyone was to include them on the auction. It has been quite a year with the volatile weather and markets. As you all know, even the politics this year were very volatile. I hope and pray that we Americans can come together since the election is over. We still live in the best country in the world. One of our constants, besides our faith and family, is our desire to provide our customers with the best product available for their continued success. We really enjoy our friendships and relationships with you, our customers. This is the best part of this business. Even if you don t need a bull or female this year, please join us on the 11 th. The buyer may select a suitable replacement or receive credit at the next sale for the purchase price minus any salvage value. BULL CARE AND TRUCKING ARRANGEMENTS: We believe that it is much better for you to take your bulls home sale day or shortly after. This allows the bulls to become acclimated to their new environment and new owners. A $150 per bull deduction will be subtracted from the price of all bulls taken home sale day. As a service to you, we will winter the bulls left at the farm free of charge until May 15, They will be semen checked and ready to be picked up by then. After the bulls are sold, they are your property and responsibility. We recommend mortality insurance for your bulls. We ask that the heifers be moved as soon as possible. FEMALES: All of the females have been calfhood vaccinated and are current on their shots. They have also recently been poured with Cydectrin and the bred heifers have had two shots of Scour Bos 9.
