Coach/Manager - Game day team selected in APP, scores game APP, game results published back into website immediately and weekly team sheets automatically submitted to CRFU SEASON

3 WHY? Historically rugby is still very paper based Draws were difficult to do manually and published in a hard to access format for todays mobile generation of players and parents Submission of results and team sheets was labour intensive at the volunteer/administrator level Getting results out quickly and accurately was difficult Visibility of results and standings for supporters of club rugby was slow to be available and limited Canterbury have invested in new technology to improve the experience of volunteers, administrators and supporters of community rugby

4 WHAT S NEW? Software available called SKED for Draw Convenors to use Easier to use, gives clear visibility on ground usage, home and away etc Allows publication of draws in a user friendly format, clubs can easily publish their own draws on their own websites New Canterbury Rugby APP Linked to Registrations/Team Builder & SKED Create Team Sheets Score Game Results submitted directly from APP Results live on APP/Website No more PDF draws, paper team sheets/match reports, texting of scores!

5 REGISTRATIONS Players register online with Clubs Clubs approve registration in their Sporty site Register coaches Register anyone else who wants to do scoring, team sheets etc using Volunteers/Administrators registration form.

6 TEAM BUILDER Club creates Teams in Team Builder in the grades they wish to enter. These teams automatically appear in the draw software until the closing date Team names do not need to include your club name, this appears in the draw. If you have more than one in a grade you can use colours, names etc. If you only have one and don t want them to have a name you can use the grade e.g. U10

7 BUILD TEAMS IN TEAM BUILDER Club creates Teams in Team Builder in the grades they wish to enter. These teams automatically appear in the draw software until the closing date Team names do not need to include your club name, this appears in the draw. If you have more than one in a grade you can use colours, names etc. If you only have one and don t want them to have a name you can use the grade e.g. U10

8 ADD PLAYERS, COACHES & MANAGERS TO TEAMS Drag and drop players into teams In 2018 add Coaches & Managers to teams as well anyone who will complete a team sheet or score a game

12 WHO SHOULD HAVE ACCESS? Anyone associated to a team who needs to be able to select the team for the team sheet, or who will keep the score on the day May not be the traditional Manager Need to ensure there is a back up in place in case the person is away Access can only be given by the individual club or school, can not be given anywhere else

13 What next? Build your teams in Team Builder and give access to Managers/Coaches I will send all clubs instructions for Managers/Coaches to use, if possible get your Managers in and check they are logged in and ready to go. If you want to do a live trial let me know and I can send you the instructions If you have merged teams between clubs we will work through these separately, there is no one size fits all approach for these Remember there is nothing to see until there is a draw created and published for that team

14 Questions? What if I have no data/internet access? Complete the team sheet before you leave home if possible, score the game as normal and the data will upload when you are reconnected. Who can do the scoring? Anyone the club gives access to via. Team Builder, allow for people being away and have back ups ready. What if we can t agree on the score between the two teams? You can scroll back through the scoring events and see if you can identify the issue then correct it, or submit your scores and the Draw Convenor will investigate on Monday morning. How do I know who hasn t sent in their scores? The result in the website will be blank Will results be published for all grades? This is something that each competition will work through, it is possible to publish draws, results and standings, or draws and results or just draws. What if a scorer loses their login? You can reissue from within Team Builder. The APP remains logged in unless a person logs out on purpose. When do my results/team sheets need to in? These timeframes will be set by the individual competitions.
