3 * Important information when registering for Youth Sports Programs Must have a current liability waiver on file. Call the Parks & Recreation Office if address, phone or other information has changed. Early registration fee is charged through the early registration deadline. Regular fee is charged after the early registration deadline. After the regular registration deadline, registrations only accepted on a space availability basis. Online registration is not available after the regular registration deadline. Non-city residents must pay additional non-resident fee. Contact the Parks & Rec. Office to find out if space is still available. SUMMER BASEBALL CAMP Boys ages 8-15 years old Week of June 5-9 at the Russell Swenson Ball Park, 350 S. 300 W. Conducted by the SFHS Baseball Coach Casey Nelson, coaching staff & players. Early Registration ends on Friday, May 26 Early bird cost will be $ Regular Camp fee (after May 26) will be $ Camp participants have the option of purchasing a T-shirt for $6.00. Pre-register online or at the Parks & Recreation office, don t wait until the first day of camp. Emphasis in this baseball camp will be placed on hitting and fielding. Players will spend a significant amount of time in the batting cage learning the techniques of batting. Boys ages will meet from 8:00-10:00 a.m. Boys ages 8-11 will meet from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. * Non-Resident fees are not charged on camps.

Colt League will consist of home and away games with teams from Spanish Fork and other communities in Utah County. 5 BIG SLAM SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT The Big Slam Girls accelerated softball tournament will be held on two weekends in order to not conflict with Softball National Tournaments that are held in Utah. Big Slam dates will be July for 16U & 18U and August 3-5 for 12U & 14U. Check on our website for flyers and entry forms. (Depending on the number of teams, Thursday may or may not be used) The tournament is formatted with four games guaranteed to each team. Team fee is $ Teams will not be considered registered until $350 team fee and completed roster is received at the Parks & Recreation Office. If you would like to mail in your completed roster and team fee, you can download the form on our website at php. Registered teams will be posted on the above website daily. For more information, please contact Mark Resch at or at SPORTS FITNESS GAMES * Boys & Girls - Ages 6-12 * Fee - $35, through early registration deadline. * Fee - $40, after early registration deadline. * Non-resident Fee $5 additional (Instructional) This two week program (Mon-Thurs) will introduce the basic fundamentals of sports such as: basketball, baseball and softball, football, soccer, volleyball, track & field, spikeball, pickleball, etc., as well as emphasizing basic stretching and fitness. Get the kids off the couch and learn the importance of structured and unstructured play! FLAG FOOTBALL CAMP - Starter Camp will be a no contact camp for boys in the 3rd - 6th Grade, who will be participating in the Spanish Fork Flag Football League. Emphasis will be on football basics and fundamentals. Camp will be held Tuesday, July 25 and Wednesday, July 26 from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. at Swenson Ball Park. JR. GRIDIRON FOOTBALL Boys & Girls, 1st & 2nd Grades ( school year) Through Aug. 29 Aug. 30-Sep 1 FEES: Early Discount Regular Fee Jr. Gridiron Football $35.00 $40.00 * Non-City Residents add $5.00. Jr. Gridiron Football was created as a program for boys and girls in 1st-2nd grade, that prepares them for organized youth football. Parents work one-on-one with their child, practicing a variety of football skills. Participants will be divided into teams and scrimmage under instructor s supervision. This program is a four week program, with two one hour sessions each week. A parent must be present and participate in each session. The Jr. Gridiron Football program will be held Tuesdays & Thursdays beginning September 5 and running through September 28. Two session times will be offered, 5:30-6:30 p.m. and 6:30-7:30 p.m. Program will be held at the Russell Swenson Memorial Ballpark. LITTLE KICKERS SOCCER Pre - Kindergarten Boys & Girls, 4-5 Years Old Through July 6 After July 6 FEES: Early Discount Regular Fee Little Kickers Soccer (w/shirt) $35.00 $40.00 * Non-City Residents add $5.00. Little Kickers Soccer is a developmentally appropriate introductory program for children four to five years old (NOT entering Kindergarten this coming fall). Parents work one-on-one with their child, practicing a variety of soccer skills. This is a four week program, with two one-hour sessions each week. A parent must be present and participate in each session. Little Kickers Soccer will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning on July 25 and running through August 17. Session time will be 6:00-7:00 p.m. Program will be held at Centennial Park, located at 600 South 600 East. 9 HUCK FINN DAY Spanish Fork Parks & Recreation will sponsor the 39th Annual Huck Finn Day to be held on Saturday, June 3, It will be held at Canyon View Park where a plethera of trout will be planted. Canyon View Park is located south of the Spanish Oaks Golf Course at 3300 East Powerhouse Road. Several prizes will be given for the first fish caught, smallest and largest fish, plus several other prize drawings throughout the morning. Boys are encouraged to dress up as Huck Finn and girls as Becky Thatcher. Prizes will be awarded for best costume in these categories. Fishing for anyone 12 years of age and younger will be from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. 10 SUMMER TENNIS Spanish Fork Parks & Recreation is offering a variety of opportunities to develop and enhance your tennis skills this summer. Come and have a fun time while getting some exercise and developing skills that you can use for a lifetime! The summer tennis program will be held at the Spanish Fork Sports Park Tennis Courts or the Spanish Fork Indoor Courts if weather is bad. Registration for all tennis programs begins on May 8 online or at the Recreation Office, 775 N. Main Street. All tennis classes have a minimum and a maximum number of participants established in order to provide a quality, efficient program. Classes may be adjusted or cancelled based on enrollment numbers. CUTA CENTRAL UTAH TENNIS LEAGUE Boys & Girls, CUTA LEAGUE Early registration deadline - Thursday, May 25 Early registration fee: $80 (includes T-shirt) After May 25 - fee: $85 (includes T-shirt) Non-resident fee: $10.00 This program provides practice and coaching two days a week for two hours, with a match held once a week between neighboring community teams. Boys & girls, ages practice - M/W Boys & girls, ages practice - T/TH Practice times - 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm This league is for intermediate to advanced players only. No previous competitive experience is required. The league will run for eight weeks beginning June 5 through the latter part of July. This is a quality tennis experience for less than $2.00 per hour. 11 SUMMER TENNIS 10 & UNDER TENNIS This program is run as part of the USTA 10 & under program designed to help boys and girls develop tennis skills with the use of lighter, slower-moving, and lower-bouncing balls; smaller and lighter racquets; and smaller sized courts. The gear tailored for a kid s size and age and a smaller court will increase the likelihood that kids will have FUN, return to the sport, and continue to improve. Jr. size racquets will be provided. The breakdown of the classes and age groups are: Pee Wee 1 (ages 5-6) Pee Wee 2 (ages 7-8) Youth (ages 9-10) Early registration deadline - May 25 Early fee $35 After May 25, Regular fee $40 includes 8 (one hour) lessons and a T-shirt. Early registration fee is charged through the early registration deadline. Regular registration fee is charged after the early registration deadline. Applicable non-resident fees must be paid when adding non-residents to your roster. ($50 non-resident fee team cap per season) $10 additional player fee is charged for each player added above the maximum roster limit. For a team to be considered registered the following must be turned in: o Completed roster with minimum number of players (varies by sport) o Current waivers on file for each player o Team fee To be eligible to play in the first game, players must be registered before 5 p.m. one business day prior to the game. 14 INDOOR TENNIS COURTS 475 South Main, 6:00 am - 10:00 pm The Indoor Tennis Courts are available for use by members only during non-scheduled hours. Leagues, lessons, High School team practice or shows will take priority. Yearly Tennis Memberships * Individual Memberships - $ per year. * Non-resident fee of $10.00 per individual * Family Memberships - $ per year. * Non-resident fee of $20.00 per family * Family Memberships are limited to immediate family members living in the same household, 18 years & younger. All memberships are due for renewal by October 1st. The membership fees help to offset electric and gas costs of the facility. Memberships may be purchased from the Parks & Recreation Office. The Parks & Recreation Office is located at 775 North Main. Our phone number is (801) Individual photo membership cards will be issued along with the key. Photo Membership Cards must be hung up on the court assignment board on the shed wall when you come to play. Locks will be changed the last week of September in preparation for the new membership year. Members renewing memberships must return their old key before they will be issued a key for the new year to the Indoor Courts. Renewing members must also bring their photo membership cards in so they can receive a new sticker. Members may bring non-members to play tennis with, but non-members must put court fees of $4.00 per person per hour in the drop box at the tennis courts. Court Reservation System: Members will have the ability to reserve court time through an on-line reservation system. Once members renew or sign up, they will be given a ID and password for the online reservations. Members will be limited to two reservations per week (subject to change if needed). We want to keep these courts well used but, at the same time, make them available to members for drop in play or reserved time. We will also be looking to do more programing of the courts including leagues, lessons, and tournaments. Tennis Rentals held to a minimum (especially in the evenings). The Indoor Tennis Courts are a multi-use facility. The city rents them for special shows and other events which helps subsidize our Indoor Tennis Court revenue, which by itself is not selfsupporting.
