Live bands and DJs playing the best alternative, traditional and party music fill the Edinburgh streets, as the city centre comes alive with festivities and revellers. OLD TOWN CEILIDH TO BE CONFIRMED Ring in the bells in the most splendid and historical of settings in the heart of the Old Town. Two stages featuring the best traditional and folk musicians in Scotland, birl through the bells with non-stop dancing - our experienced Ceilidh Callers will be on hand to instruct you on all the moves so you ll be Stripping the Willow in no time! CONCERT IN THE GARDENS TO BE CONFIRMED Welcome the New Year in spectacular style with a sound and visual feast from a world class headliner and four firework displays fired from right overhead at Edinburgh Castle, this is the best view in the house! 6 CANDLELIT CONCERT TO BE CONFIRMED TORCHLIGHT PROCESSION TO BE CONFIRMED STOATS LOONY DOOK TO BE CONFIRMED Every year we gather in the magnificent setting of St Giles Cathedral for a one-off concert featuring a specially curated performance by an array of Scottish soloists, choir and orchestra. The opening event of Edinburgh s Hogmanay 2017/18 is the spectacular Torchlight Procession. Last year s event welcomed over street 40,000 people to this world renowned family event. Join thousands of torch carriers as they illuminate the city through the city centre to a breath-taking fireworks finale. Carry a torch for charity at the Torchlight Procession. Welcome 2018 with a splash by taking part in the breath-taking Loony Dook at South Queensferry for 30 years thousands of Dookers have taken part in the annual dip in the freezing River Forth in the shadow of the world-famous Forth Bridges. 7 This is a very busy, all standing, outdoor festival so please dress for the weather. Edinburgh s Hogmanay Street Party tickets alone do not allow access into the Concert in the Gardens or Old Town Ceilidh events. Tickets for the Old Town Ceilidh and Concert in the Gardens also allow access to the Street Party. No entry after 11pm so please come early! EDINBURGH S CHRISTMAS TO BE CONFIRMED Tumble into a magical winter wonderland in the centre of a fairy tale city. Edinburgh's Christmas offers a magical explosion of twinkling lights, enchanting sounds, mouth-watering flavours and lots of fun and laughter with live shows, rides, food, drink and attractions! Access to an extensive range of outdoor bars, street food and toilets throughout the arena. No persons under 12 years are permitted into Edinburgh s Hogmanay Street Party. Those with children under 12 years looking to join the celebrations should attend the Old Town Ceilidh or Concert in the Gardens which are more accessible. No buggies are permitted.
