I think it s extremely important to thank all of our amazing Sponsors and Supporters that have backed not only our 2014 Team but Australian lacrosse in general throughout our preparation. We are extremely fortunate in our Australian community, to have so many great people and businesses supporting us in our bid to be successful in Denver. On behalf of the 2014 Australian Men s Team, I would like to thank you all. Please take a minute to look through our list of Sponsors & Supporters on the attached pages. To my amazing team of Coaching and Support Staff; this past 2 years has been long and we are now finally here and raring to go. This team of people have excelled in all they do and we have hopefully made this an enjoyable experience for all involved. To the Team of 26 players travelling to the USA. You have all sacrificed so much over the past 2 years, time off work, time away from family members, wives, children & girlfriends and generally just living and breathing lacrosse. I hope you have all enjoyed the journey as I have and now its time for us to get out there and give it our all. I know the Australian Supporters are extremely proud of you all, as I am. We have the official Team Blazer Presentation in Melbourne on Friday 27th June and depart on Saturday 28th June to Los Angles, USA. On arrival, we have a practice session in the afternoon to acclimatise and change our body clocks to US time. The following day we have a game scheduled at Redondo Union High School against an LXM Pro team. From there it s on to Vail, Colorado (1600 Meters above sea level) to compete in the Elite Division of one of the best lacrosse tournaments in the world, from Thursday 3rd - Sunday 6th July. We then drive back down the mountain to Denver (1000 meters above sea level) to the Denver University which will be our home for the duration of the World Championship, commencing Thursday 10 July. We are fully aware that the road ahead is going to test us as a group on many levels, but I cannot fault our player s fitness, preparation, attitude and willingness to follow the structures we have in place. We are Australians and will give everything we have to compete fiercely for every ground ball, shot, body check, defensive effort, save and contest and know we will do it proudly.
