1 85 North Road Lindum QLD 4178 Subscribe: AIC Sports Information (via (includes wet weather) Director of Sport: Mr Keith Harron Deputy Director of Sport (9-12): Mr Sean Devlin Deputy Director of Sport (5-8): Mr Chris Pritchard Sports Administrator: Mrs Karen Otway June 2018 isport : Standards This weekend is about college and team performance, when individual effort needs to be combined so that we achieve together. Both the 1 st XI and the 1 st XV need to defeat St Laurence s to win their respective AIC premierships. Iona and St Laurence s are both endeavouring to win the AIC football aggregate in a tight final round encounter across all grades. Iona rugby needs team effort to remain top 2 in their AIC aggregate; numerous teams sit in premiership contention and all will be endeavouring to successfully end the winter season. It is a wonderful finale and all are urged to be willing, supportive and respectful. It is also an opportunity to thank coaches and managers for their guidance, generosity of time and friendship. A simple thank you to all our canteen helpers is also fitting. The round against St Patrick s saw some tight games in the older age divisions. Our younger teams displayed skill and speed as well as good sportsmanship. A reminder that: Teams playing at Iona will have their photos this Saturday. Tennis, cross country and basketball details are also in this newsletter. Please contact the relevant staff with any queries. Our touch teams have been provided details for their Sunday tournament. Uniform Expectations for Saturday Sport Options for Players (to wear to and/or from games): Playing gear - correct shorts, training shirt or playing shirt, correct socks, (Iona hoodie / Iona tracksuit top / Iona tracksuit pants, senior jersey, I cap if required) Complete sports uniform Full winter uniform (no hat) compulsory for 1sts Students not playing on the day but attending to support: Full college winter uniform.
