Both the 1 st XI and the 1 st XV need to defeat St Laurence s to win their respective AIC premierships. Iona and St Laurence s are both endeavouring to win the AIC football aggregate in a tight final round encounter across all grades. Iona rugby needs team effort to remain top 2 in their AIC aggregate; numerous teams sit in premiership contention and all will be endeavouring to successfully end the winter season. It is a wonderful finale and all are urged to be willing, supportive and respectful. It is also an opportunity to thank coaches and managers for their guidance, generosity of time and friendship. A simple thank you to all our canteen helpers is also fitting. The round against St Patrick s saw some tight games in the older age divisions. Our younger teams displayed skill and speed as well as good sportsmanship. A reminder that: Teams playing at Iona will have their photos this Saturday.
