5 January Minutes have been posted online. Motion to approve last month s minutes - Approved by Chris- seconded by John Fundraising/Event Coordinator January s Fundraising Dollars: 3, Includes raffle, painting party, fan gear. Coming Up Next: Yankee Candle, 2018 Fan Gear, West End Diner, Game Day socks, looking to do more painting parties in season. We only do 1 mandatory fundraiser, we try to select multiple fundraising options so families can choose which to participate in. Last years fundraising allowed us to provide for the large growth this year. Lacrosse Coordinator Coaches meeting following meeting. Expectations, LADM, rule changes, sideline behavior Thank all volunteers for helping with our Winter workout Program. Equipment/Field Manager All new equipment received. New Field Layout 2018 New size fields All games will be played on lower field. Field will be split into 3 different sizes, marked with different color paint to identify. Need coaches who can help line fields. Practice fields the same as last year. We need to run multiple games simultaneously There will be a K-2 game at the same time as a 3rd/4th game. Old Business
6 Winter Workouts Committee Hockey Game New Business Spring Registration is still open with a $15 late fee Teams K-2 #1, K-2 #2, 3rd/4th A, 3rd/4th B, 5th/6th, 7th/8th A designation is competitive, B is more on a learning basis. All other teams in our league are following suit, splitting the lower levels. There will be a seperate game schedule for each individual team. In most cases, we will play at the same venue. Both K-2 and 3rd/4th teams will have 1 head coach, assistants will be split per level. Game Scheduling Meeting is Saturday 24th. In previous years all teams were separated at different locations. Parent Meeting is Sunday February 4:00 pm. Volunteers arrive at 3:00pm. Stations will be set-up like previous years. Checkout by team to move things along. New: we will provide a packet of all necessary info to each family. Heach Coaches will be introduced. Our head referee Butch will be there. Question: can we set-up a donation bin to clean out our closets and give free to those who need it. We will send out , no helmets allowed. Practice Start & Schedules should have come out in from head coaches. Tentative practice start date is Tuesday March 6th, weather pending. There is some gym time available on Saturday mornings. Head Coaches were able to choose what practice days work best with their schedule. In previous years the board required certain days. We are trying to be flexible and accommodating to our volunteers. Coaches please inform you team parents regarding schedules and cancellations.
7 Also have a team meeting with parents at first practice to discuss schedule. Try to be accommodating to other activities. Calendar/Important Dates: Parent Meeting 2/25th, West End Diner 3/5th, Yankee Candle through 4/8th. Fan Gear 2/25th-3/11th. Phantoms Hockey 3/11th, March Board Meeting 3/18th, College Game 3/24th. Picture Day 3/25th. All dates can be found online under Events. We use google calendar on our website. That is where the most up to date information can be found. Website is undergoing some changes to include our sponsors. Check back in a week to see new format. Girls lacrosse had parent meeting on 3/18th. Looking for coaches. Not enough referees on girls side so games will be played on both Saturday & Sunday. Disappointed to only have 1 K-2 team this year and low numbers on the 7th/8th squad. Will be selling coffee travel mugs, invited boys lax to participate. Thinking of selling umbrellas, will coordinate as a fundraiser w/boys lax. LVYLL rep reported referees will have zero tolerance to poor sideline behavior. Check Arbiter for referee assignments. 1 referee at the 3rd/4th grade level though he will clarify because we were given different information. If coaches question a players age, they can send to Jeff. LVYLL wants help for EOYT lining fields. Questions/Concerns None Motion to Adjourn@ 5:41 by Chris, seconded by John
