(Opilionidea, Cosmetidae ) with 10 figure s VLADIMIR SILHAVY Starec/ÖSSR In examining an interesting collection of Cuban phalangids from they Museum of Com - parative Zoology (Harvard University, Cambridge, U. S. A.) I found some remarkabl e forms, from which a certain number was described in my previous papers. A further notable addition to the Cuban fauna is a striking phalangid Trinimontiu s darlingtoni, new genus and new species, from the family Cosmetidae, differing from the other members of this family by an unusual armature of fourth area. I wish to express my appreciation to Dr. HERBERT W. LEVI, Curator in Arachnology of Harvard University, for his kindness of making the collection available fo r my study. Holotype, allotype and paratypes of this new phalangid are deposited in the collections of the Museum of Comparative Zoology, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Suborder GONYLEPTOMORPH I COSMETIDAE SIMON Cosmetinae CAMBRIDGE Trinimontius gen. n. Body robust, ovoidal, dorsum vaulted, cephalothorax unarmed. Eye tubercle low, smooth.
