2 The Mann Family Celebrates 40 Years of Fishing in BC. From humble beginnings in the early 1970s, the Mann Group has siezed opportunities and made strategic investments that have enabled them to grow their family run business year over year. CEO STATEMENT 2017 Operational Efficiencies and Future Growth The Osprey No. 1 s average daily catch was between 70,000-95,000 lbs in Since then, upgrades in holding & freezing technologies, and adding 66% more freezers has enabled daily production of up to 250,000 pounds. Mariner Seafoods International provides international sales and marketing services for the Osprey No. 1. Osprey Marine, owned by Ron Mann, ownes & operates the Osprey No. 1, BC s largest mid-water freezer trawler. Ron and Hetty Mann have over 40 years experience as owner operators in the Canadian fishing industry. Shannon Mann INDUSTRY LIAISON. Shannon handles the MANN GROUP s public relations. She is the representatie to numerous industry, government and trade associations. Debbie Mann QC & LOGISTICS. Debbie developed and manages the QMP and EEC plans for Osprey. She also prepares all documentation for the transportation of MSI s frozen product. Sheryl Mann Sheryl manages the SALES AND MARKETING of MSI s products. She is responsible for developing promotional materials and interacting with prospective buyers. Built in 1998 in Denmark, the Osprey No. 1 is the largest mid-water freezer trawler on the Canadian west coast. At 57.8 meters, & over 2000mt, the Osprey No. 1 is 34% longer than the next largest vessel and has twice the production capacity. The Osprey No. 1 is the culmination of 70 years in the business - fishing, and process engineering. Annual overhauls and critical investments in technology have enabled the Osprey No. 1 to produce 50% of the frozen-at-sea Pacific Hake industry s product. Our continued investment into our vessel and on-shore operations has proven successful.
