José Luis Bruna i Brotons Presidente Federación Española de Pesca y Casting Dear athletes, captains and delegates: As President of the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting I have the honor to greet and welcome athletes, captains and delegates, as well as delegates of the Fips mer, who will meet in Castellón, on the beaches of Peñíscola, between 21th and 28th April, to celebrate the 1st World Championship Shore Angling Pairs. The city of Castellón and its dynamic Diputation has been distinguished by its support to the sport, as an activity that generates values such as effort, self-discipline, respect and its integrating social capacity, which in sport fishing could add specific values such as Respect for aquatic ecosystems and the natural environment, as well as their great social transversality. This tradition of sports promotion characterizes Castellón. For that reason, both the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting and the Federation of Fishing of the Valencian Community, are proud and satisfied to have achieved that this world competition can be held on the beautiful beaches of Peñíscola. Castellón and all its coastline is a tourist attraction of the first order. During these days you can check its climate, its magnificent beaches, its historical monuments and its excellent and varied gastronomy. Yourselves will check your welcome and hospitality, every time the world of competitive fishing knocks on your doors. I would like to make public my thanks to Fips mer for granting the organization of this World Championship for Spain, without forgetting the recognition and support that the Higher Council of Sport has always lent to our sport. But I don,t want to end these lines of greeting and welcome without expressing my satisfaction, my gratitude and sincere thanks to the Fishing Federation of the Valencian Community, for its dynamism, good management and brilliant promotion of the sport of fishing, which makes it In one of the great pillars of the Spanish Federation of Fishing and Casting (FEPYC). From here I would like to thank all your organization, all your efficient and enthusiastic collaborators. This World Championship will shine with its own light of that I am sure. 3 Excmo. Sr. D. Javier Moliner Gargallo Presidente Excma. Diputación de Castellón Welcome all to the province of Castellón, a warm and diverse land with high mountains that look to the sea. As a marine province, it is a pride for us to host the 1st World Championship Shore Angling Pairs. Fishing occupies a prominent place in the history of Valencian society and, especially, in the province of Castellón. An art and a trade that has been the cornerstone of the progress of many of our peoples and the future of our ancestors. The County Council of Castellón and the signs of identity of our territory have always gone hand in hand, because we are aware that our reason for being is to help our people and, therefore, to defend the traditions. Therefore, this office, now turned into a complex sports practice, could not have another answer on the part of the provincial institution than our most sincere support and collaboration. Thanks to the organizers for thinking about Castellón for this international event, and thanks to the participants for making us enjoy this unique sport. Enjoy all of this unique province.

6 Competition Venue Peñíscola North Beach, approximate length, 5km, sandy beach with sandy bottom, good access from the hotel, with a promenade all along the venue, width of the beach 40m approximately. NORTH BEACH PEÑÍSCOLA PEÑÍSCOLA Baits Only permits provided by the Organization. Probably consist of 5 boxes of worm and one Korean / angler (Pair = double). Anthem and Flag The participating teams are responsible for delivering the Organizing the flag of your country and a CD with the national anthem. Medical Certificates The participating teams are responsible for the information provided to Organizer regarding individual medical certificates, whenever one of the official languages of the CIPS. The latest FIPS-M rules can be downloaded from the website FIPS-M: (under: Estatutes-rules) Scoring system. The scores to classify the results in the Competition will be by conversion of CENTIMETERS to GRAMS according to attached table. Once converted 1GRAM = 1PUNTO
