8 Additional 2016 management measures (Oregon Recreational Coho): Allocated 13.1% out of 20% available fishery OCN impacts - guards against exceedance of ESA impacts under a run collapse (2015 example) Eliminated prior rollover provisions to move uncaught quota from summer mark-selective fishery to September non-selective Inseason monitoring and potential modification/closure of September fishery if summer fishery indicates very low abundance No target harvest of wild coho in North Coast and Mid Coast strata rivers and bays. Pending discussion of very limited South Coast harvest (June FWC) Slide 7
9 Additional 2016 management measures (Oregon Troll Chinook): Reduced harvests for Chinook (troll and sport) to reduce Klamath impacts New: usage of information gained from Project CROOS October - 40-fathom line (used in sport halibut) - to allow October opportunity, but ensure it focuses on local stocks, not Klamath fish (credit card risk); 2015 was closed during October Slide 8
