1 Boat Rentals Clemson Marina offers a variety of late model boats for rent. This is a great way to try this lifestyle without having to buy your own boat. What better way to enjoy quality time with the people you enjoy the most than an adventurous trip around Lake Hartwell unplugged from the daily grind. The following bullets apply to all our boats available to rent. Review each individual boat for specific rental details. Monday Friday rates do not apply on holidays Half days are only available on the day of the rental based on availability. We provide basic safety equipment; Life vests, whistle/horn, a #4 throwable device, and a fire extinguisher. All boats come equipped with a tow ring. 6 Do I need a special license to operate the boat? No, a valid state driver s license is all you need. Who is allowed to drive the boat? Renters as well as boat operators must be at least 25 years of age and have a valid driver s license. Do I have to wear a life jacket? By law, children 12 years old or younger must wear a life jacket at all times. Do I need to put down a deposit? No deposit is required above the price of the rental but please be aware that the full amount of the rental is due at the time of booking. What do I need to bring with me? Please see our rental essentials list below to assist you with all of your rental needs. Are pets allowed? Yes, we do allow pets aboard but please be aware that you are responsible for any messes your pets make including excessive pet hair. Can I fish from the boat? Yes, we do allow fishing from our pontoon and fishing boat rentals. Do I need a fishing license and do you sell them? A fishing license is required if you plan on fishing. We do not sell fishing licenses however you can obtain one at a local bait shop, Wal-Mart or you can purchase one directly from the DNR website online. Which Credit Cards do you accept? We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. Is fuel included in the cost? Each rental leaves the dock with a full tank of fuel. Upon return we will refill the fuel tank and the renter is responsible for the amount consumed. On average, how much fuel does the boat use? It is nearly impossible to quote an average consumption because there are so many variables to consider (usage, weight, water conditions, wind speed, etc.). A conservative average would be about 5 gallons per hour of engine time. A Credit Cards, Bug Spray, Sunscreen, Cooler, Ice, Towels, Hats, Sunglasses, Light Jacket (depending on the season), Chap stick, Trash bag for clean-up, paper towels, plates and silverware if you plan to eat on board, snacks, fishing poles and fishing license, Change of clothes Infant Life Vests if you are able as our supply can be limited Ski Vests if you are looking to Ski or Tube Tubes, Skis and Rope
