This event is played over 18 holes, however, 9 of the holes will have a very difficult course set up and the other 9 will have a very easy course set up! Cost Each day is a separate tournament and entry (You may play either day or both days) $40 per person, per day (plus standard golf fees) Cost includes: Payouts and Prizes Entry fee will be collected each morning Adult Game Improvement Clinics Tuesdays 5-6pm April 19 th through September 27 th Each Clinic is $25 2 Men s Member Guest Tournament October 20 th, 21 st,22 nd Entries will be mailed on AUGUST 1 st. Any Full Member wanting to play must submit a completed entry in full and returned in person to the golf shop starting at 7 am August 5 th until August 18 th. Final field will be set by September 20 th. Entries will not be accepted via or phone. The field is limited to 60 teams. All entries after the first 60 will be placed on a waiting list based on priority. ALL participants must have a verifiable USGA based handicap established and must abide by the Member-Guest Handicap Policy Priority for participation will be order of sign-up. All applications MUST be submitted in person to the golf shop and will be on a first come, first serve basis. (Only one application entry form may be submitted per person, per day.) Scoring & awards after play with refreshments & food Please contact the golf shop to sign up or Coach Duck john.duckworth@atlanticbeachcountryclub.com Tournament Entry Fee $20 During our closure for the collar renovation we installed 32,000 square feet of Tifgrand Bermuda sod and 8,000 square feet of Tifeagle sod. We also excavated and replaced approximately 520 tons of dirt where the new collars are now located. Our team also had to plug out the contamination of Celebration on the greens which took over 2,500 square plugs. Due to the extended work that was done over the 17 day closure, we had to push our first greens aerification to July 5 th. The aerification scheduled for August 1 st -4 th is still on schedule. In addition to our final aerification in August, we will begin bunker work and it will continue through the month of August. This will have minimal to no impact on the golfer experience. 4 July s heat blast and firework blow out is here and we are celebrating with lots of explosive tennis! Our Biggest Summer League Ever is such a huge success with over 90 participants that we ve had to move it to two nights. Wednesday and Thursday night we fill the courts at 6pm with social and competitive match ups. Happy Hour beer and wine are served courtside. Come check it out! Our just show up round robins play on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 9am and the Sunday Funday Social continues to pack the courts. We also offer three weekly women s clinics and one Women s Camp per month. Our instructional junior camps run through August 5 th. The Wimbledon Mixer will take center court on July 9 th with champagne, strawberries, cream and the mandatory all white dress code. Let s get some great pictures with our whites and wooden racquets on this traditional occasion. August will feature the flexible singles ladder in honor of the US Open. It was a fast and fun three week league that gave players the opportunity to mix, match and compete. We will definitely do this one again! 5 Pool Update To better secure our facilities, we request that all members wishing to swim enter the pool through the breezeway entrance and register their guests. While on the pool deck, be prepared to show a membership card to the lifeguards. They will be walking around a few times per day to spot check members and guests.
