We ended up with 110 golfers and an additional 23 dinner guests. As our golfers came off of the course, they enjoyed our cocktail hour, hors d'oeuvres, pasta stations, and purchased 50/50 tickets. Outgoing President Patrick Kelleher welcomed the group, thanked his fellow officers, and introduced Joyce Recchia as the Association s incoming officer who will assume the duties of the s Steward. Kelleher also made a special presentation of a gift certificate to Communication Chair Dan Rich for his work throughout the year.

2 Kelleher thanked Golf Chairman Bob Partridge for all of his hard work in organizing such a successful day. Bob thanked the dozens of Hole Sponsors, Golf Award Sponsors, and Special Event Sponsors for their excellent support of the day. Scholarship & Charity Chair Paula Pelletier spoke next, and told the group that the had received one scholarship application this year. The application was from Joe Brady (Champlain College), son of Past President Kevin Brady. Paula read Joe Brady s very eloquent essay and awarded him an scholarship of $1,000. Golf Chairman Bob Partridge announced a raffle drawing for a special prize (fire pit) donated by Temporary Accommodations. The lucky winner was Rick Suydam. The group observed a moment of silent prayer for Jeanine Kennedy, wife of long-term member Patrick Kennedy. Bob announced the Golf Awards (see related article) and called out the many door prize winners. The is very grateful to Golf Chairman Bob Partridge for orchestrating such an extremely successful afternoon and evening.
