3 President s Report 2010/11 My fellow Lizards Over the last 12 months there is a lot of damage done. On a personal basis Andrew W was hit by a car. Broken leg. Col Lacey in hospital twice. Ended up with blood poisoning. Jim Small in hospital also with the same problem as Col. But the most serious of all, Dave Gilchrist battling cancer at the present moment. It was Dave that introduced me to Lizards. Good luck Dave anything you want ask any Lizard and you re sure to get a response. Getting back to the Lizard, it has been on holidays this last year. It s had more holidays than myself. There are some interesting people like the likes of Hart who also get a mention at the top of the fine chart over travel arrangements. And BIG fellow who always seems to get Credit fines. Thanks for your help over the last 12 months Andrew W. There wouldn t be Lizards Golf without the help of many. The likes of Neil Winterton. Organisation. Well done. Ivan T he s always chasing something up on internet (actually Chris M - Ed) or making sure everybody is informed of the wellbeing of Lizards. Garry Bird, the printing of the Flat Out Like (Chris M again - Ed), turn ups with condiments and bread rolls and turned up with a new rag. Stretch grog patrol. Chris Mooney Editor and tent man. Mike Morgan treasurer and finance manager. Dawson Carroll, who we don t see enough of, keeps escaping back to Ireland. He should be handcuffed to his house at Narrabeen and let out once a month. Vic R ExCOPLCM. Turns up from interstate to play our away games. A good country member. We remember he is a country member? Gary Castle (Vice Pres) who has put in a lot of work organising the new upcoming event up North, Cessnock or Nelson Bay. And if it wasn t for the likes of all the players like you all those would have nothing to do on the third Sunday of the month. Don t forget boys it s always the second shot that counts. Some people could say it 3 rd or 4 th but really is the 2 nd that counts. Happy golfing boys, a saying by our ex Treasurer Postie Mr Donald. 4 Treasurer s Report 2010/11 Gentlemen, I am happy to announce that the Lizards Golf Club turned a handsome profit of $ this financial year, leaving us with a balance of $1, in the bank. It s strange that some months we make a loss, others a profit and others we just break even: I can t figure it out. Still, we re in a very healthy financial position for a social club this size. I ve not heard of any move by the course or council to raise the golf fees in the near future so our monthly fees will remain at $ The annual subscriptions will also remain at their current levels of $10.00 for members and $5.00 for country and overseas members. Please note these are due on July 2011 or the first month attended. Remember that members who play whilst unfinancial will be deemed to be amongst the visitors ranks for the day.
