Joint memberships are based on the oldest person living in the household. Unmarried children under the age of 25 are included in the membership. Only Senior (stock holding) members have voting privileges. House memberships provide access to dining and social events, pool, tennis and paddle. House members do not have voting privileges. Non-Resident members whose residence and place of business are over 100 miles from the City of Grand Rapids, Michigan may be eligible for the Non-Resident membership category. Any member who resides within 100 miles of Grand Rapids for more than a total of 14 days between May 15 and September 15 will not be eligible for Non- Resident status. Non-Resident Members may enjoy all of the privileges of the Club except that golfing privileges may be exercised eight (8) times per year. Guest rounds, or rounds associated with Club events will not count against the limit of 8. Non-Residents do not have voting privileges. APPLICANT POSTING PERIOD Upon Membership Committee approval, the applicant names will be circulated to the general membership and posted for a two week period. ADMISSIONS INTERVIEW LUNCHEON Applicants will be contacted by the Membership Director to schedule an interview (with up to 4 members from either the Membership Committee or Board of Directors). Interviewers will report back to the Membership Committee with their recommendation. PRESENTATION TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS After the admissions luncheon and the two-week posting period, the application will be presented to the Board of Directors for final approval electronically or at the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting (fourth Wednesday of each month). * Please note the membership process typically takes 3 weeks to complete, depending on when the application is submitted relative to committee meeting dates, as well as an applicant s availability to attend the interview prior to the Board meeting.
