1 Rutland Polo Club Sponsorship opportunities 2012 Rutland Polo Club is an experienced and active polo playing club in Rutland, situated between the historic towns of Melton Mowbray and Oakham. Formed in 1971, it is a true Members Club with its own established grounds which are a venue for many friendly yet competitive matches - and the perfect place to meet on a summer s afternoon, where you can entertain your clients and guests in an ideal, relaxed setting whilst enjoying the Sport of Kings. Rutland Polo Club is proud to offer 6 unique sponsorship levels to suit your individual Sponsorship requirements. Assam Tournament sponsor. ** Reserved for Berkeley Insurance until 2015 ** The Assam tournament Final is held on a Sunday in July when there is a large Charity Lunch (normally over 200 people); this year in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Dates in 2012: 4 weekends with the main day on 13 th May 2012, 10 th June 2012, 5 th August 2012 and 27 th August Naming of an existing Trophy e.g. Virgin Atlantic Findlay Cup, or being able to donate your own suitable trophy Publicity on Club s web site including link to your website Publicity on tournament programme Exclusive use of the Club marquee except on dates when there is a Members Lunch (5 days per year). 4 3. Subsidiary Tournament sponsor. This is only for tournaments where the main tournament is already sponsored. Naming of an existing Trophy e.g. Virgin Atlantic Findlay Cup, or being able to donate your own suitable trophy Publicity on Club s web site including link to your website Publicity on tournament programme Reserved car parking for your guests: limited pitch-side parking for guests BBQs if available Your company promoted by commentator Prize & Trophy presentation and photo opportunity with the winning team. Product placement as appropriate. Use of an area should you wish to put up your own product stand and/or banners Your own Rutland Polo Club liaison officer Cost Team sponsor. This is for a single tournament. The team (4 players) would be named for you, entered on the tournament programme and any commentary would refer to your team by name You would be expected to supply the team polo shirts (suitably numbered 1-4). Each team member would spend some time before and/or after the match meeting you and your guests (this could be on both days, Saturday and Sunday) Your own nominated liaison officer who most likely would be the team Captain Reserved car parking for your guests and/or pitch-side parking for guests if available Photo opportunities with your sponsored team and players Your team name announced and publicised by the match commentators Should your team win, you would be able to retain the relevant trophy (until the start of the next season). You would be expected to arrange to have the trophy suitably engraved.

5 Cost: Typically 300 upwards. This depends on handicap level and if there is a professional playing. Rutland Polo Club will discuss your requirements in advance and help select a suitable team for you. 5. Social sponsorship. Polo Ball: Sponsorship is available for pre-ball drinks. Please contact the Chairman Charity luncheon at the Assam Finals day: LOROS Hospice Care held this event in 2011, catered for over 200 people and raised over 15,000. This is held on the August bank holiday is available for social events please contact the Chairman. 6. Advertising in the Rutland Polo Club Fixture List. The high-quality fixture list is sent to all Members, Social members, Sponsors and Friends. It is also available to visitors to the Polo Club. Advertisements cost between 150 and 300 depending on size and position. Notes: Most tournaments are played over 2 days, Saturday and Sunday with the finals played on Sunday. If a tournament is held over a bank holiday weekend, finals are usually on the Monday. All sponsors and their guests are welcome on all days of the tournament but often concentrate only on the finals day. Joint sponsors are welcome. Available for smaller groups of guests: Polo club badge, souvenir glossy magazine of Rutland Polo Club, and a professional polo player can arrange to talk to your guests after the lunch and explain the rules... Bicycle Polo sponsorship is also available You can, at your own cost, advertise your chosen sponsored Tournament in the Local Papers. (Contents to be pre agreed by RPC Chairman)

6 Should the weather necessitate cancellation, then providing that it is cancelled prior to finals day, all sponsorship will be refunded except for team sponsorship which is refunded in proportion to the games actually played. 25% deposit of sponsorship fees due when arranged, remainder due before the day. Rutland Polo Club is not VAT registered and so no VAT is due. All facilities of the Club are available to sponsors and guests including Rutland Polo Club bar,, Portaloos (unless you have very many guests), commentary and First Aid. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.
