1 To all HVGC Members, This years tournament calendar also integrates various social activities for your planning convenience. The social activities are preceded with a party hat and are indicated in italics. The 2017 Board of Governors has taken into consideration your comments and ideas in creating the 2017 tournaments. Please keep in mind that we do discuss numerous ideas but every idea cannot be implemented into the tournaments. We have made changes to some of the tournaments to allow for more competitiveness regardless of skill level which will hopefully result in increased member participation. As we are sending this schedule out, some of the changes that may or may not be reflected in the enclosed tournament schedule are as follows: Current USGA GHIN Handicaps will be used for the 2017 tournaments Tournaments may be in flights based on format and level of participation White tee division may be implemented based on format and level of participation Nine-hole Women s division may be implemented based on format and level of participation Team handicap maximums/minimums may be added to some tournaments For some tournaments, a blind draw may be implemented for all or some of the divisions Any changes or modifications to the tournament format will be addressed on the tournament signup sheet for that particular tournament. Thank You, HVGC 2017 BOG Page 1 of 11
