Thanks to Jim Tidwell for helping out in roas ng the whole pig and for le ng us use his roas ng gear for the event. We also want to thank the Monday Night Football group for dona ng four new fans to use on the pa o. The fans came in very handy. The Membership Apprecia on Day and the Wine dinner were also great successes. We will con nue to offer more such events in the future and hope you take advantage of them as o en as possible. On Wednesday, August 10 th we are having our annual Kids Best Friends Day at the pool. Due to popular membership demand, we are offering another BBQ Buffet for your enjoyment on Thursday, August 11. The Birthday Lunch Buffet will be held on Tuesday, the 16 th. The annual King Crab Seafood Buffet will be held on the 20th. Please look elsewhere in this newsle er for more details on these and other events. Best Friends Day for Kids BBQ Buffet King Crab Seafood Buffet August Wine/ Drink of the Month August Pool and Cove Hours Birthday Buffet Blues, Burgers, and Beer Calendar I want to send a special message to our hard working staff who have been very dedicated to providing the best quality service to our membership and guests. I want to commend in par cular several of the lifeguards: Jacy Smith, Leila Ingram, Gabie Gauthier and Macey Barker, who were alert and ready to instantly dive into the pool to prevent a couple of possible incidents related to young swimmers last month. I also want to recognize our waitress Jessica Pendergraph for her honesty and exemplary behavior when she turned in a very large sum of cash money that was uninten onally le at the Club by one of our members. Such behavior makes us all so proud to know the caliber of employees we have in our midst. Way to go guys and girls! Please think of your Club first when you have any occasion for a meal or a private get together because that does make a difference! Woody

2 WGA NEWS 2016 is rolling along too fast. Here it is August. The Dog Days of Summer (ho est part of summer) are here. The WGA Luncheon Mee ng will be Wednesday, August 17 at 11:30. Come early to order lunch. We are happy to have Abby Thomas as a new member. She has been playing golf with us every week. She is a really good golfer. We will miss her, when she starts teaching this month. Congratula ons to Ann Palculict, our Memorial Tournament Champion. Ann was also on the winning ABCD Membership Apprecia on Tournament team. Her team members were Rodney Barne e, Mike Landers and Jacob Smith. Other WGA Memorial winners: Championship Flight: Shirley Ballard, 2nd and Anne Cody 3rd. Second Flight: Bobbie Murphy 1st, Virginia Frisby 2nd, and Abby Thomas,3rd. WGA thanks Linda Hays for making the arrangements for our snacks a er play and to Virginia Frisby for taking care of registra on for the Memorial. Also a big thank you to Margaret Marsh, Tournament Chairman, for working with Will to get everything set up. And thank you to Ann Palculict, Prize Chairman for working with Will to get prizes set up.
