2 A MESSAGE FROM... KIMBERLEY Der Members, Welcome to the ltest edition of Destintion Richmond Club. At our Annul Generl Meeting held in November, the Bord of Directors nd I presented complete msterpln for the redevelopment of the club nd hotel integrtion on the corner of Frncis nd Est Mrket streets. The msterpln shows number of exciting new fetures for the club, including multi storey crprk for members, reintroduction of function rooms, brnd new outdoor deck nd impressive two level reception foyer. Importntly the pln lso ccommodtes Active8 into the rer of the min club building. The new Active8 will hve its own seprte entry, dedicted prking nd group fitness rooms. This multi-million dollr investment into the club s services ensures the club flows semlessly with the hotel once it is completed, nd brings the rest of the club up-to-dte with the developments hppening on both sides of Frncis Street. I m lso plesed to nnounce tht Stge 4 of Hwkesbury Living is hed of schedule, with hndover of the three-storey building expected in April 2019, with the first resident expected in My. This is n exciting step in the growth of Hwkesbury Living, incresing our totl number of beds by 41 nd incresing the rnge of services we cn offer to our residents. At the AGM, we lso reveled the new nme nd brnd for this new section: River Plce. The nme reflects our community s close ties with the Hwkesbury River s well s cknowledging the stories nd memories of our residents er. Plns for the next stges of Hwkesbury Living re lredy in development. We re lso looking t options for the redevelopment of the Golf Club, which will include loction for the bowling greens, dditionl prking nd rebuild of the clubhouse. We hve pplied for funds through vrious grnts tht will ssist the Golf Club in becoming the true sporting hub of Richmond. The Austrlin Seniors PGA Chmpionship ws resounding success, with the Pros sying they were thrilled to be plying t Richmond gin. The course ws prepred impeccbly by our tlented grounds stff, nd lthough conditions were hot, the stndrd of competition ws excellent. The finl round went down to the wire, with winner Michel Long edging runner-up Peter Senior by single shot. Thnk you to ll who were involved in the event this yer, from our generous sponsors nd volunteers to the Golf Mngement Committee nd our Group Opertions Mnger Crig Hodge, who worked tirelessly to ensure the event ws success.
