2 A message from Co-Chairs Steven Sager & Charles Benayon This year marks the 40th anniversary of and we are thrilled to host the 23rd Annual Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 29, 2017, at King s Riding Golf Course. Be part of the celebration! We would love for you to be there! Tourette Syndrome (TS) is a neurological condition affecting 1 in 100 children in Canada today. TS is characterized by motor and vocal/phonic tics that range from mild to severe. The average age of onset is 7 years old and there is no cure. The majority of children who have Tourette Syndrome are commonly affected by several associated conditions such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Learning Disability, Sleep Disorder, and Sensory Integration Dysfunction. Children with a combination of these disorders (TS+) are often most debilitated. Our outstanding combined golf packages include: a great day on the course (green fees, power cart), breakfast, lunch and dinner, a pre-dinner cocktail and wine with your meal. Each hole features an activity and/or giveaway including snacks, drinks, prizes and the highly anticipated TS Gift. If you don t golf, consider becoming a donor and/or volunteer for the day. We are national in scope and volunteer based. Mission: Creating awareness and understanding of Tourette Syndrome through education, advocacy, support and the promotion of research. Purpose: In fulfillment of its mission and vision, distributes educational material to individuals, professionals and agencies in the fields of health care, education and government through its local affiliates.
