1 Around THE Club 5325 St. Andrews Arc Leesburg, FL Ann Carter - Editor December, 2018 Editor Ann Carter The Annual Meeting will be taking place on Monday, December 17 th at 7:00 p.m. at the Crown & Shield. The agenda will be the results of the by-law revisions and the election of four Board of Director members along with presentation from some of the current Board. Those running for the board are Linda Gietz, Dave Kozlowski, Bill Ortbals, Esther Patterson, Reka Reaktenwalt, Steve Ryan & Nick, VanDewerker. If you did not get the eblast which included the bios of these equity members, please send me a message and I will forward it to you. It is important that everyone has the opportunity to review these bios as they will not be included with the ballot which will be sent in the US Mail. MMGA Tom Lawrenson, Treasurer REMINDER: The MMGA s Dues are due by December 31, 2018 Craig Misch Pro November was a busy golf month here at Monarch. We held our annual Member/Member Couples Club Championship tournament November 18 th, we had 48 players. It was a very hotly contested match with great scores turned in by our competitors, when the dust settled and the scores were tabulated, Mike and Barb Kowalski rose to the top and took home the title of Couples Club Championship. Mike said Barb carried him all day!! Well played Mike and Barb. Second place went to Henry Maguire and Maddie Kilmister, third place went to Ralph and Nancy Beighley, fourth place was Dick Sjogren and Sherry Grimm. Well played couples!!!! Season is in full swing; the golf course is in great shape. Get out and play!!! 1

We have also started cleaning up the beds as well as trimming the bunker edges and edging the cart paths. We are still spot spraying for weeds as long as the weather stays warm.

Chef Justin and his staff were very busy preparing homemade chicken pot pie soup as a starter, build your own salad station in addition to the hot buffet which included a carving station of Roasted Turkey and Orange Glazed Ham. Of course, there was a table of delicious desserts as well.
