5 Birdies For Charity: 2019 Eligibility Organizations must 501(c)(3) Status Have a presence in George, Hancock, Harrison, Jackson, Pearl River or Stone County.* 5 Alternatively, organizations are eligible if they are A school in the six eligible counties *Funds raised through the program must be used predominantly in these six counties

6 Birdies For Charity: How it Works Organizations may solicit pledges in three ways 6 1. Supporters pledge a per-birdie amount based on birdies made by PGA TOUR Champion players during the 2019 Rapiscan Systems Classic. Example: Individual pledge at $.03 per birdie x 750 birdies = $ Supporters make a one-time flat donation 3. Organizations can hold special events with the proceeds going to Birdies for Charity* Pledges can be collected by Donors can fill out a hard-copy pledge form or donate via the online database Hard-copy pledge forms can be picked up at the Rapiscan Systems Classic office or the Community Foundation office *Special events must be approved by Mary Wesche prior to the event

7 7 Birdies For Charity: 2019 Match Organizations receive 100% of every donation/pledge plus every charity that raises over $500 or more will receive a guaranteed match of a minimum of 5% on every donation they collect up to $100,000. The program will match a total of up to $480,000 raised by all charities. This amount and percentage can increase if additional matching funds are received. Matching starts right away

8 8 Birdies For Charity: 2019 Bonus Bucks Plus The Top Three Charities Receive 1 st place $3,000* 2 nd place $2,000* 3 rd place $1,000* *Bonus Bucks are determined by the total pledges paid, rather than the number of pledges made.

9 9 Birdies For Charity: Important Dates Key program dates are Program runs January 23, 2019 May 17, 2019 Deadline to enter Guess the Birdies Contest is March 29, 2019, 12:00 PM CST All pledges must be turned in by May 17, 2019 in order to receive matching funds All funds must be received by May 30, 2019 Funds for pledges collected will be distributed in February, March, April and May All matching funds and bonus bucks will be distributed at the Birdies for Charity Awards Presentation Ceremony in June 2019

10 10 Rapiscan Systems Classic will Provide: Payment of all fees (including credit cards) associated with the program Record keeping of all donations Website and database management Invoicing and tax receipt distribution Pledge forms

11 11 Added Bonus: Guess the Birdies Contest Donors may guess the number of birdies that will be made in the 2019 tournament Donors can guess either on the pledge card or online Either the closest to the number or exact guess will be entered into a drawing to win the Grand Prize Grand Prize Two (2) Night Stay at Beau Rivage, Round of Golf for Two at Fallen Oak and $200 Food and Beverage Credit

Corporate sponsors Get others on-board (board members, staff, volunteers) Holiday promotions Look at how it can be integrated into your events - Maybe designate an event and all proceeds go to Birdies for Charity Create an internal challenge - team competition Promote the Guess the Birdies grand prize Face-to-face solicitation Set up a booth in a high-traffic area Form a committee and set a goal E-blasts, Newsletters, Flyers, Twitter, Facebook - use social media! Information posted on your website with the direct link and logo One-on-one training Mass mailing - attach pledge forms Have your pledge forms accessible Use tournament staff to help with ideas and program education

Register today Each packet has an application Register later Go to our website and register under the Charity Link/Birdies for Charity Very Important: Before we can put your organization into our system, we must have a copy of your IRS non-profit determination letter and your Tax ID number

Upon receipt of your application, copy of your IRS non-profit determination letter and tax ID number, your information will be added to the database so donors can make online pledges Each organization will receive an with the information on how to access your account/pledges online. Your organization will now be able to solicit pledges!

17 17 Important Final Thoughts Payments need to made out to the Rapiscan Systems Classic and NOT the soliciting charity If a donor makes a per birdie pledge online, the credit card will not be charged until April 1st If the donor makes a flat pledge online, the credit card will be charged immediately
