6 We are looking forward to another great year here at Bellewood and the golf operation is hoping to see everyone soon. Before the Season opens I wanted to remind everyone on a few policies. What s new for 2017? Playoff Points Points will be awarded for every tournament played with the top 10 players making it to our season ending SHOOTOUT! All participants will receive points for participating in tournaments but more Playoff Points will be awarded to the leaders. You do not want to miss the Shootout. Shootout The 10 players receiving the most Playoff Points throughout the year will make it to the Shootout. We start with all 10 players on the 1st hole (in one group) and we lose one player each hole until after the 9th hole when only one player is left standing. The highest net score on each hole will be eliminated with all ties going to a chip off. This event is so much fun, make sure you have enough Playoff Points! The Shootout will be played on September 30th. Masters Opening Day Tournament To start the 2017 season we are going to hold an Opening Day Tournament on Masters Sunday, April 9th. The Tournament will consist of a Better Ball with a player from the Masters and a Gross and Net Scats Game. After the round scoring will be done in the bar so everyone can watch the final day of the Masters! Member/Member expanded to Two-Days Get your partner ready because we are going to hold a Two-Day Member/Member! With the success of the Invitational the last few years we want to bring that great format to the Member/Member. Teams will be flighted off their total handicap and compete against five other teams over the two days in a Round Robin Better Ball format. Flight winners will then advance to the playoffs to compete against the other winners. The premier event of 2017 that you cannot afford to miss! The Two-Day Member/Member will be held on June 9th and 10th. Monthly Scats and Blind Draw Tournaments One Saturday a month we will be running a big Scats and Blind Draw Tournament with Gross and Net winners! No sign-ups needed for these events we will be on the first tee taking sign-ups that morning, just tee off before 11:00 and you are eligible. Dates are below, remember these events are for Playoff Points too! April 22nd, May 20th, June 17th, July 15th, August 19th, September 9th and October 7th Men s Invitational Date Change Save the date because the Invitational has moved to August 25th and 26th! The Invitational now is heading to the pool for great fun after each day! The best event of the year just got better! 2017 Tournament Schedule and Handbook Click to Print Additional Information For full details on these new events and all the events please see below.
