9 Miscellaneous Topics Please provide feedback on the following topics: Would you be in favor of making all of the four man tournaments NET only? Although the number of places paid vary from tournament to tournament based on participation, this essentially means that a 2014 tournament that paid 3 GROSS and 3 NET places, we would pay 6 NET places instead given the same level of participation in Other feedback (regarding NET only in four mans): Would you be in favor of allowing players to compete from different tees (i.e., Gold versus White) in NET competitions? Assuming this were allowed, do you think it should it be based strictly on age or a combination of age and handicap? For example, in 2014 the MMGA offered the option of playing in the Championship from the Gold tees to anyone 60+ years of age with a 15+ handicap. 10 Other feedback (regarding use of GOLD tees): 80% Handicap Reduction in Blue Coat and best ball portion of Sorry Partner In 2014, the MMGA followed this USGA recommendation for two man best ball formats that suggests an additional 10% reduction in handicap when there are teams where the delta between partner handicaps are 8 strokes or more. Four-ball stroke play, where two competitors play as partners and their lower score is that side's score for the hole: men receive 90% of their Course Handicaps; women get 95% of their Course Handicaps. The USGA recommends that the spread between partners' Course Handicaps be limited to eight strokes. If the spread is greater, reduce all Course Handicaps by an additional 10%. USGA studies have shown that teams with a wide handicap spread will have an unfair advantage. Looking back at those tournaments there were 7 of 25 teams in the Sorry Partner and 9 of 30 teams in the Blue Coat that fell into this scenario. Rather than cutting the entire field in this situation, how would you feel about cutting only those teams comprised of partners that fall within this scenario based on the delta between their 90% course handicaps? Currently all of the tournaments affected are pick your own partner, so players have the option to avoid this situation. Circle one: Not supportive Neutral Supportive Page 9

11 Other feedback (regarding 80% Handicap Reduction): Percentage Payouts The MMGA typically pays out 30% of the field in a tournament though it could go potentially higher depending on turnout and the tournament format. 12 Player of the Year Player of the Year is currently determined based on the summation of club prizes won by each individual throughout the tournament season. This includes teams (4 man, 2 man), individual, and closest to the pins. How do you feel about the current system used to award Player of the Year? Other feedback (regarding Player of the Year): Most Improved Most Improved is currently awarded based on a report/formula provided by GHIN that compares each player's index at the beginning and end of the season. How do you feel about the current system used to award Most Improved? Other feedback (regarding Most Improved): Page 11

13 Closest to the Pin How would you feel about changing Closest to the Pin to where you had to make the putt for birdie in order to win the prize? If no one made a birdie, then the Closest to the Pin money for that hole would carry over to the next day (same tournament) or the next tournament until someone made birdie.
