3 The 2018 edition of the First Nations is in support of the KWE! Meet with Indigenous Peoples event The KWE! Meet with Indigenous Peoples event aims to promote the ten First Nations and Inuit in Quebec through cultural and musical performances, workshops on traditional knowledge and know-hows, exchanges to learn more about the issues that affect Aboriginal peoples in Quebec, and so much more. A first edition of the event took place from September 1 to 3, 2017 and was a tremendous success, and it highlighted the need to repeat the experience in 2018 in order to continue the awareness and reconciliation efforts. The profits from the golf tournament will support the AFNQL s efforts to ensure the participation of delegations of First Nations and Inuit representatives in Quebec who will come to facilitate this event, which is intended as an open door to our peoples.
