5 A series of 4 one hour lessons to introduce juniors to the fun game of golf. The golfers will learn putting, chipping, and full swing technique. Cost per person is $ Equipment is provided if needed. There are 2 camps for the 2019 season. Camps are conducted by PGA Professional John Hamilton. The six week league has three divisions by age and offers juniors a chance to learn on the golf course as they play. Each golfer receives a Falcon Ridge Junior Golf tee shirt and there are prizes and a pizza party on the final day. This league is limited to the first 72 juniors to sign up. Some golf experience and clubs are required. That has meant a longer than usual equipment maintenance time for me and my crew. We should be more than ready to go when the snow melts and the temperature warm. As for projects, my plan for this coming year is to redo #2 tee box. I will be leveling it closer to the pond, which will benefit the right handed (and the left handed) golfers. You may have noticed the introduction of gold tee markers last year, which appeared to be a big hit. No pun intended...with last summer s heat, it was perfect for crab grass growth. Don t forget to apply your crab grass preventer this spring. We had great success eliminating crab grass last fall at Falcon Ridge and you can help your lawn too!
