2 Introduction Jonathan s Landing Golf Club, Inc., being a private equity membership Club, seeks to offer its Members and their guests exceptional golfing, tennis, dining and social experiences. The facilitation of this enjoyable experience is enhanced by the understanding and adherence to the Rules & Regulations of the Club as adopted by the Board of Directors. Periodically, the Board of Directors will make changes to the Rules & Regulations and those changes will be communicated to the membership by letter, bulletin or the Club website. The General Manager and his designees have full authority and responsibility for the enforcement of these Rules & Regulations. Enjoy your Club. JL Board of Directors 2

3 SECTION 1 - GENERAL CLUB RULES 1) GENERAL a. Jonathan s Landing Golf Club, Inc., (the Club ) and its facilities shall be open on the days and during the hours as may be established by the Board. b. Firearms and all other weapons of any kind are not permitted at the Facilities except by state, federal, county or city enforcement officers while on duty or by designated JL Security Officers. c. The Clubhouses are non-smoking facilities. Designated outdoor smoking is provided. d. It is contrary to the policy of the Club to have its facilities used for functions or fundraising efforts for the benefit of political or religious causes except, as specifically permitted by the Board of Directors. e. The Club Membership directory is available for the social convenience of the Members. The directory may not be used for commercial or charitable purposes, except with Board approval for that specific purpose. No one may use the directory to solicit Members for business purposes and/or personal gain. f. JL Cares is the primary focus for the Club s charitable efforts. Many charitable outings are traditionally held on Club property. General solicitation of the membership by outside charities is not permitted. g. Jonathan s Landing Golf Club is a social and recreational club. Except for the sale or lease of real estate within Jonathan s Landing or at Old Trail, Members and their guests may not promote goods or services to the Members or their guests on Club property. h. Alcoholic beverages will not be served, sold nor permitted to be consumed on the premises during hours prohibited by law. Alcoholic beverages will not be sold or served to any person not permitted to purchase the same under the laws of the State of Florida or be sold for off-premises consumption. Alcohol will not be served to those Members and guests who may appear to be impaired. All alcoholic beverages consumed or otherwise possessed on the premises of the Club must be sold and purchased at the Club. The Club reserves the right to require of any person proof of age by proper identification in order to purchase and/ or consume alcoholic beverages. i. Commercial advertisements shall not be posted or circulated on the Club property without the prior approval of the Board. Bulletin boards are restricted to Club-sponsored events and activities. j. Children must be supervised at all times. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, except where certified in advance by the Golf and/or Tennis Director. k. Dogs and other pets are not permitted in the Club facilities, with the exception of service dogs for the physically challenged. l. Performance by entertainers will be permitted on the property of the Club only with the prior permission of the Management. m. Ball hawking (multiple ball retrieval), swimming or boating is not permitted in canals and lakes on or bordering golf course grounds. n. Fishing is permitted on Club property by Members only and should not interfere with play of golf. o. Bicycles are not allowed on the golf courses or practice facilities at any time. p. Members and their guests may not abuse any of the employees or Members, verbally or in any other way. All service employees are under the supervision of Management, and no Member or guest shall reprimand, discipline or send any employee off premises of the Club for any reason. Any employee not rendering courteous and prompt service should be reported to Management immediately. q. Jonathan s Landing Golf Club strongly discourages the use of cell phones in the Clubhouse. The use of a cell phone on the golf course is permitted for emergency use only. Cell phones should be turned off or put in the mute or vibrate mode. r. No person shall remove from the grounds any property belonging to the Club without authorization. In the event of destruction, defacement, damage or loss to any Club property, the person or persons causing same shall be held financially responsible for the cost of repairs or replacement and will be subject to disciplinary action. Members shall pay for any loss or damage to the Club for which their guests are responsible. Club property shall not be loaned to any Member, guest or any other person for use off the premises. s. All complaints, criticisms or suggestions of any kind relating to any of the operations of the Club must be in writing, signed and sent to the General Manager or the Board of Directors. 3

4 t. Violations of any rule or any conduct prejudicial to the best interests of the Club will subject the violator to disciplinary action in accordance with the Bylaws of the Club. u. The Club reserves the right to amend or modify these rules when necessary and will notify the membership of the change. 2) MEMBERSHIPS ACCOUNTS a. A membership card indicating a Club account number will be issued to the Club Member, as well as other eligible members of his or her family, upon payment of application fees and dues by the Member. Membership cards are not transferable. b. A membership card or account may not be used by any other person other than the person to whom it is issued. Failure to comply with this rule may result in suspension or termination of membership privileges. Any charges made by family members or guests to a Member s account are the responsibility of the Member. c. All food, beverage, merchandise and services of the Club charged to the Member s Club account will be billed monthly and due upon presentation and shall be deemed delinquent if not paid within 30 days after the date of the mailing or billing. Past due bills will accrue interest per month at the maximum rate permitted by law per month from the date of the statement until paid in full, or at such lesser rate as may be established by the Club, or may be subject to a fixed amount late fee. d. If the Club account of any Member is delinquent, the Club may, at its option, take whatever action it deems necessary to affect collection per the Bylaws. If the Club commences any legal action to collect any amount owed by any Member or to enforce any other liability of any Member to the Club, and judgment is obtained by the Club, the Member shall also be liable for all cost and expenses of the legal action and reasonable attorney s fee (including fees required in connection with appellate proceedings). The Club may suspend or terminate a membership for non-payment upon reasonable notice and reserves the right of set-off against any membership refundable contributions or deposits of the Member. e. Membership name and number must be provided at the point of sale for all transactions, including food and beverage. In the case of food and beverage, presentation of the membership name and number are required prior to placing the order. Members are responsible to sign a receipt for Club charges and keep copies for their records. Any disputed charges need to be brought to the attention of the membership billing department within 30 days of the receipt of the monthly billing statement. The Club reserves the right to charge a fee for the time required for researching or copying membership billing records which do not result in an adjustment to the Member s account and are either required for a legal proceeding or, in the judgment of Management, if the request for research and copying is excessive. 3) SERVICE FEES AND TIPPING Each Member will be responsible for a yearly food and beverage service charge, as determined by the Board of Directors. Private parties and non-member events booked through the food & beverage department are subject to the 20% service charge. A 20% service charge will be charged for all non-member events. If an event requires additional staff and/or valet, the event will be charged accordingly. Each neighborhood will be assigned an account number to facilitate billing. This 20% service charge includes, but is not limited to, JLPOA, JLHOAs and JL Yacht Club. All fees are subject to Florida tax that may change without notice. a. Tipping of cart and bag attendants, valets and locker attendants is encouraged. b. For the prevention of preferential starting times, tipping of golf tee time personnel and golf starters is strictly forbidden. c. A Holiday Fund for employees will be established. Each year, the Board will solicit a voluntary contribution from all Members to the Holiday Fund. The Club employs many people and the Holiday Fund provides the membership with an opportunity to show appreciation for the efforts of the employees. Senior management and independent agents are excluded from the Fund to the benefit of the core staff. The Board of Directors and the General Manager shall be responsible for the distribution of these funds. 4

5 4) GUEST POLICY a. Members may introduce a reasonable number of guests to the bars, cocktail lounges and dining rooms, except when limited for special events but should not leave unescorted guests in the Clubhouse. b. Members expecting guests should inform Security at Members expecting guests at Old Trail should inform Ranch Colony Security at Please inform your guests that they should identify themselves when approaching the gate. c. Guests who occupy a Member s residence when the Member is not in residence shall be entitled to the same rules applied to renters if proper arrangements are made with the Club at least 30 days prior to the commencement of their privileges. d. Bridge Players and clubs within the Club: Guests may play bridge at the JL facilities when accompanied by a JL Golf Club Member with a $5 Guest Fee. This guest privilege does not apply to Club functions, e.g. Bridge Lessons, Tuesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge and Friday Duplicate Bridge. Non-Member may not participate in those activities. e. Members should notify their guests of all Rules & Regulations set forth by the Club. Guests are required to follow the dress code while using the Club 5) GUEST PRIVILEGES Guests of Members may be extended guest privileges subject to applicable guest fees, charges and Rules & Regulations established from time to time by the Board of Directors. Guest privileges may be denied, withdrawn or revoked at any time for reasons considered sufficient by the Board of Directors in its sole and absolute discretion. The Club reserves the right to limit the number of guests that accompany a Member on any given day. It is the intention of the Club to accommodate as many guests as possible without creating an inconvenience to the membership. All guests shall be either day guests or house guests. A house guest is defined as a guest temporarily residing in a Member s residence in Jonathan s Landing or locally. All other guests are considered day guests. 6) CHILDREN a. Children must be supervised at all times. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, except where certified in advance by the Golf and/or Tennis Director. b. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the locker rooms unless accompanied by an adult. c. Minors will not be permitted in the lounge unless accompanied by their parents or guardians. Minors are not permitted to sit at the bar at any time. d. Children 10 and over must follow the dress code established by the Club for any event. 7) MAILING ADDRESS a. Each Member shall be responsible for informing and filing with the Membership Office, in writing, his or her mailing address, telephone number(s), address (if desired) and any other changes thereto, which the Member wishes all Club notices and invoices to be sent. 8) CLUB SERVICES a. The Club provides a variety of social, cultural and recreational events in which all Members are encouraged to participate. b. The Club encourages the use of the Clubhouse facilities by Members for private parties on any day or evening, provided it does not interfere with normal operations of the Club or with the services regularly available to Members and at the sole and absolute discretion of Management. Previously scheduled or reserved events may take precedence. Members are requested to make reservations with the Club for available dates and arrangements. c. All private parties on Club property will be catered, planned and organized by the Club. 9) PARKING a. Self-parking is permitted in areas identified as such. No self-parking is allowed in valet areas, and no parking is allowed on grassed areas. No Parking signs must be observed. Violators will be towed at the vehicle owner s expense. 5

6 b. Parking in the circle at the Clubhouse entrance, both in town and at Old Trail, is prohibited. Members, guests, valets and employees are to park in designated areas in the parking lot. Parking is not permitted in the loading dock areas. c. The Club is not responsible for either damage to or theft of automobiles or their contents. 10) LOST AND FOUND a. Items that are lost or found in the Jonathan s Landing Clubhouse are kept by the receptionist in the administrative office. Items lost or found in the Old Trail Clubhouse are kept in the Golf Shop at Old Trail. b. Items lost or found on the Village golf course are kept in the Golf Shop at Jonathan s Landing. Items lost or found on the Fazio or Hills golf course are kept in the Golf Shop at Old Trail. d. All valuable items are locked up in the safe and may not be available until the next business day. Please call during normal business hours for questions regarding lost and found. e. Lost and found items will be held for 60 days. f. The Club is not responsible for any damage or theft of personal property belonging to Members or guests that is brought to or utilized on any Club property. 11) LOCKER ROOMS a. The Club is not responsible for loss of valuables, clothes, shoes or other personal property from individual lockers or locker rooms. b. Towels are for personal use in the locker rooms only and are not to be removed. SECTION 2 - DRESS CODE 1) GOLF COURSE AND PRACTICE AREAS a. Proper golf attire is required at all times for both adults and children. b. Jonathan s Landing is a soft-spike facility metal spikes are prohibited. c. Men must wear collared shirts with either a traditional fold-down collar or a mock collar of at least 1 3/8 in width. d. Tank tops, halters, T-shirts and jogging outfits are not permitted. e. Shorts must be Bermuda length (appropriate length for golf). f. Short-shorts, cut-offs, athletic shorts, blue jeans, cargo or surf shorts, terry cloth shorts and bathing suits are not permitted ( Cargos are defined as pants or shorts with external pockets). g. The locker room must be used for changing into and out of golf shoes. Changing of golf shoes shall not be permitted in other areas, including the parking lot area. h. Golf shirts must always be tucked. Hats and visors must be worn with the bill forward. 2) TENNIS COURTS a. Proper tennis attire is required at all times. b. Tee Shirts, tank tops, halters, cut-offs, jogging outfits, blue jeans, short-shorts or terry cloth shorts are not permitted on the tennis courts. c. Proper tennis shoes must be worn. No running shoes are allowed. Tennis shoes must be cleaned prior to entering the Fitness and Tennis Center. 3) FITNESS CENTER a. Members and guests are required to wear appropriate attire inclusive of shirt or top, shorts and/ or pants, and sneakers/footwear to utilize the Fitness facilities b. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not permitted in the Fitness area. c. Management reserves the right to address inappropriate or offensive attire. 4) CLUBHOUSE DINING a. Proper attire is required at all times in the public areas of the Clubhouse and grounds. 6

7 b. Members are responsible for advising their guests and renters of the appropriate attire. c. The General Manager or his designee may, at any time, deny the use of the facilities to Members, renters or guests who are inappropriately attired. d. Males must wear shirts with sleeves and collars. Knit collarless dress shirts are acceptable. e. T-shirts, halter-tops, blue jeans, short-shorts, athletic shorts, cutoffs and swimsuits are not permitted anywhere in the Clubhouse. f. Men are required to remove their hats and visors in any indoor bar or dining area of the Club. g. Bermuda shorts are permitted as defined in Section 2, Subsection 5, Sport Attire. h. Golf shirts must always be tucked in; hats and visors must be worn with the bill forward. 5) SOCIAL FUNCTIONS a. All social function attire will be determined by the event, not the location of the event. b. Terms for Attire: FORMAL ATTIRE Men will wear a jacket with a tie. (Note: Jackets are not required for boys under 12; slacks and collared shirt please.) Tuxedo optional. DRESSY ATTIRE Men must wear a jacket. (Ties optional) (Note: Jackets are not required for boys under 12; slacks and appropriate shirt please.) DRESSY CASUAL ATTIRE Jackets welcomed but not required. CASUAL ATTIRE Men must wear slacks and appropriate shirts (tucked in). Ladies, shirt or blouse with skirt or slacks would be appropriate. No Blue Jeans. No shorts for men or ladies. SPORT ATTIRE Golf or Tennis attire, shorts are acceptable, must be Bermuda Length (ending no more than 4 inches above the knee). No blue jeans are permitted. THEME ATTIRE Attire appropriate for theme event or costume. SECTION 3 - FOOD AND BEVERAGE RULES 1) DICKINSON ROOM, BARROW ROOM, NICKALEER LOUNGE, AND THE LANDING a. Management and the Board of Directors will determine the hours of operation for the food and beverage areas. Normal operational hours may be affected from time to time by special events or functions. Please refer to the monthly Jonathan s Landing Journal. b. Food and beverage consumed on the Club premises must be purchased from the Club. c. Smoking is prohibited anywhere within the Club facilities. Designated outdoor smoking areas are provided. d. Jonathan s Landing Golf Club strongly discourages the use of cell phones in the Clubhouse. The use of a cell phone on the golf course is permitted for emergency use only. Cell phones should be turned off or put in the mute or vibrate mode. e. Proper attire is required in the Clubhouse at all times. Please refer to dress code section. f. Alcoholic beverages will not be served, sold nor permitted to be consumed on the premises during hours prohibited by law. No alcoholic beverages will be sold, served or allowed to be consumed to any person not permitted to purchase the same under the laws of the State of Florida or be sold for off premises consumption. Service of alcoholic beverages will be refused to any Member or guest who, in the judgment of Club staff, is intoxicated. The Club reserves the right to require of any person proof of age by proper identification in order to purchase and/or consume alcoholic beverages. 2) RESERVATIONS a. Reservations are required for most activities of the Club and are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis by pre-registering with the appropriate personnel of the Club. Some special events may require advance reservation and could include a non-refundable deposit. b. For all functions held in the Club s dining rooms, tables will be assigned on a first-call, first-choice basis. c. All à la carte, social and special event reservations are to be made in the administration offices by a Member services assistant or by calling d. Unclaimed reserved tables may be released 15 minutes after the specified reservation time. e. It is recommended that arrangements for private parties be made at least three weeks in advance. 7

8 f. No Member or committee shall plan or set dates for dining room activities without prior approval of Management. g. Reservations will open one month prior to the event date. Example: Reservations will open on December 1 st for an event held on January 1 st. If that date falls on a weekend, reservations will open on the following Monday. h. Reservations will not be accepted via Voic , or a note left on the Receptionist s desk. You must speak with an employee in the office. i. Reservations will be accepted for only one table per caller. j. For large events, please designate one person to make the reservation so that we do not have multiple calls for the same reservation. k. All names for reservations must be supplied within 48 hours of the initial reservation. This will avoid overbooking and duplicate booking. l. Once the table is booked, only the person who booked that table can make changes to the reservation. m. There will be no promises of seating location for the reservation. We will accept requests, but due to the nature of the function and the number of reservations, table placement is subject to change. n. The receptionist will attempt to confirm all reservations three days prior to the event. o. A waiting list will be kept for all events and seating will be accepted as space becomes available. We often have same day cancellations due to unexpected situations or illness. p. Seating per table may be limited. Always check prior to adding additional guests to confirm your request can be accommodated. q. The Club will make every attempt to seat a Member who attends an event without a reservation, or who is added to a table without prior confirmation. r. Fees: Members will incur the following fees as stated in the Club Rules & Regulations: Dining reservation No Shows $10 per person Member Event No Shows 100% of the reservation Member Event cancellations the day of the event 50% of the reservation, unless filled from the waiting list. Member Event cancellations within 3 days of the event 25% of the reservation, unless filled from the waiting list. s. For Sporting events, such as golf tournaments and tennis mixers, when there is a package price, Members will be charged for the meal regardless of their attendance. t. When the Club organizes outside ticketed events and/or special transportation, and the Member has been billed (usually 30 days prior to the event), the tickets or vouchers are non-refundable. 3) CATERING SERVICES a. The Club encourages the use of the Clubhouse facilities by Members for private parties. Previously scheduled or reserved events may take precedence. Members are requested to contact the Food & Beverage department for available dates and arrangements when scheduling a private party or event. b. All private parties on Club property will be catered, planned and organized by the Club. c. The following information will be needed to tentatively plan your event: i. Date and time of your event ii. Estimated number of guests iii. Type of desired event iv. Estimated budget The following are requirements to contract an event: i. Date, time and number of guests ii. A firm budget iii. Type of desired event 8

9 SECTION 4 - GOLF RULES **The following information is for the benefit of all Members enjoyment of our Club and facilities. **Members are responsible for the actions of all guests brought to Jonathan s Landing Golf Club. 1) RULES & REGULATIONS a. The rules of golf of the United States Golf Association, together with the Rules of Etiquette of Golf as adopted by the USGA, shall be the rules of the Club except when a conflict with local rules or with any of the rules hereinafter stated. Decisions of the Director of Golf shall be final. b. The Director of Golf or the Golf Course Superintendent will determine when the courses will close for unusual conditions. 2) GOLF COURSE ETIQUETTE a. Be courteous, play ready golf. Be ready to make your shot when it is your turn to play. When approaching a green, drive your cart to the side or rear of the green using cart paths. Never leave the cart in front of the green, where you will have to go back to get it while the following players have to wait for you to move before hitting their next shot. b. When play of a hole is complete, leave the green promptly and proceed to the next tee. Do the scoring for the completed hole while at the next tee. c. Repair your ball marks on the green; fill in divots taken in fairways with sand provided on the golf cart and rake sand traps after each use. d. Cutting In is not permitted at any time. Players must check with the Golf Shop or Starter before starting. e. Be ready to hit your shot when it is your turn to play. If you are not holding your place on the course, you will be asked to speed up, let faster groups through or, at the discretion of the Golf Staff, you may be moved into place. Faster groups must be let through when holes are open in front of you. 3) HOURS OF OPERATION a. During the winter season (October - April), the Golf Shops are open from 7:00am to 5:30pm daily. During the summer season (May - September), the Golf Shops are open Monday - Friday 7:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday & Sunday 7:00am to 5:00pm. b. The golf courses open no later than 7:30am throughout the year. c. The driving ranges and practice facilities open at 7:15am. The driving ranges and practice facilities remain open until 8:00pm during the summer season (May - September). Each driving range will close at 4:00pm on the evening prior to a scheduled day of being closed. d. All hours of operation are subject to change based on factors including, but not limited to, weather, daylight and golf course maintenance. Changes to the hours of operation will be communicated through the Golf Shops and via ForeTees. 4) REGISTRATION a. All players must register prior to play. Members with Trail Fees, who are not accompanied by a guest where charges are not required, may proceed directly to the Starter s Booth for play registration. Players who require a cart and/or have a guest are required to register in the Golf Shop of the course they are to play. b. In the absence of a Starter present at the Starter s Booth, all players must notify a member of the Golf Staff of their intention to play prior to teeing off. 5) GOLF CLUB STORAGE AND LOCKER RENTAL a. This service will include cleaning of your clubs after each use and a personal bag tag for each set of clubs in storage. b. Although the bag storage room is secure, please check your Homeowner s Policy for primary coverage. c. The Club is not responsible for loss of valuables, clothes, shoes or other personal property from an individual locker, the locker room or bag storage room. d. Cloth towels are for use in the locker rooms and are not to be removed. e. Golf club storage is included in the Trail Fee Agreement. 9

10 6) COURSE REGULATIONS a. Singles and twosomes, when permitted to play, have no special standing on the course to pass other players. During the peak periods of play, it may be necessary for the Golf Staff to pair up singles and twosomes. Foursomes shall have the right of way. b. During the months of November thru April, twosomes will not be permitted on the Village or Fazio Courses between 8:30am and 12:30pm, except as permitted by the Golf Staff. c. Twosomes may play the Hills Course at any time. d. One set of clubs is required for each player. e. The golf staff have full authority on the golf course to enforce all rules pertaining to pace of play. f. Players will start from such tee as directed by the Starter. g. Golfers are not permitted, at any time, to enter into environmentally sensitive areas marked by red stakes with green tops. Golfers must also avoid steep slopes bordering water hazards. h. A group stopping for refreshments during a round may lose their position if the stop exceeds five minutes. When stopping between nines for an extended period of time, players must get permission from a member of the Golf Staff to resume play. i. Players are expected to play in under 4 hours. If there are faster groups behind and space ahead allows, they should be allowed to play through. j. Players should enter and leave bunkers at the nearest level point to the green and must smooth bunkers over with the rake upon leaving. k. Rakes used to smooth footprints in bunkers should be placed outside of the bunker, parallel to direction of play. l. No practice is allowed on the golf courses. Practice is permitted only at the driving ranges or practice facilities. m. No play is allowed on the golf course when the course is closed. n. Walking, jogging, roller-blading, bicycling or driving a scooter is not permitted at any time on the golf courses, including the cart paths. o. Members or guests who arrive for play without proper attire will be denied access to the golf courses and practice facilities. p. Non-metal or approved soft spikes are required on golf shoes. q. Practice Range Closed, Cart Path Only and other directional signs are to be adhered to at all times. r. Eligible children of Members are permitted use of the practice facilities and golf courses provided rules, proper behavior and etiquette are followed. An adult must accompany children under the age of 12 on the driving range at all times. s. No dogs or other animals are permitted on the golf course property (service dogs excluded). t. The Club is not responsible for any injury sustained by an individual or damage to property as a result of being struck by a golf ball. u. Groups of five or more players shall only be permitted on the golf courses with the permission of the Golf Staff. 7) CELL PHONES a. Jonathan s Landing Golf Club strongly discourages the use of cell phones in the Clubhouse. The use of a cell phone on the golf course is permitted for emergency use only. Cell phones should be turned off or put in the mute or vibrate mode. 8) JUNIOR REGULATIONS a. A junior is defined as an individual less than 16 years of age. b. Juniors may not drive carts. c. Juniors may play during regular hours only if they are approved by the Golf Staff. The Golf Staff may relax this rule during slow periods. d. Juniors may walk and carry their clubs after 2:00pm at the discretion of the Golf Staff. e. Juniors are required to obey all rules of the Club and exercise proper etiquette on the course at all times. The Club reserves the right to restrict or suspend playing privileges of any junior violating these rules. f. All juniors, under the age of 16, are complimentary when accompanied by a Member. 10

11 9) GOLF TEE TIME RESERVATIONS a. Advanced tee times are made through the Club s tee time system, ForeTees. b. Same day tee times for Jonathan s Landing Village Course are made through the Starter ( ) or the Village Shop ( ). Same day tee times for the Old Trail Courses are made through the Old Trail Golf Shop ( ). c. Special groups and special occasions that need to reserve more than two consecutive tee times must make arrangements through the Director of Golf. d. Advanced Tee Time Reservations: i. Advanced Tee Time Reservation Line (7:00am to 5:30pm) ii. Golf Members may reserve Five days in advance for Jonathan s Landing Village - Maximum of 2 tee times per call. Six days in advance for Hills - Unlimited tee times. Five days in advance for Fazio - Maximum of 2 tee times per call. iii. Sports Members may reserve Three days in advance for all courses. Up to four rounds per Membership after 12:00pm on the Village Course between October 16 th to April 30 th iv. Reciprocal players may reserve Two days in advance for all courses (May 1 st October 15 th ). 10) GOLF NO-SHOW / CANCELLATION POLICY a. Cancellations should be made as far in advance as feasible. Call the appropriate Golf Shop to cancel a tee time. b. A fee may be charged to each player failing to cancel a reserved tee time. c. Cancellations for special events made three days or less prior to the event will be subject to a 25% cancellation charge. No shows at Special Events will be subjected to a 100% cancellation charge. This policy applies to ALL Social, Tennis and Golf events. 11) PRACTICE AREAS a. Hours of operation of the practice areas are determined by the Director of Golf (see Section 4, Subsection 3 of these Rules & Regulations for specific times). At times, the driving range may be closed for general maintenance or an event and will be posted in the Golf Shop. b. Range balls are for use in the practice areas only. Range balls are not permitted for use on the golf course. c. Range balls are the property of the Club and may not be taken by the Members or guests. d. Proper golf attire is required at all times at the practice areas (see Section 4, Subsection 20 of these Rules & Regulations for specifics). e. When using the practice facilities, verification of membership status may be required of you by the Golf Staff. 12) GOLF CART AND WALKING RULES a. Walking is permitted at Old Trail on the Hills course at any time. Pull carts are available through the Old Trail Golf Shop. b. Walking is permitted at Old Trail on the Fazio course at any time with prior approval from the Golf Staff. c. Walking is permitted on the Village course for juniors only, after 2:00pm. A member of the Golf Staff must approve such action prior to a walking junior teeing off. d. There will be a $10 Walking Fee charged. Juniors under the age of 16 will not be charged. e. During the months of November thru May, booking a tee time on the Village or Fazio Course between 8:30am and 12:00pm will require a minimum group of three (3) golfers. f. Cart paths should be used as much as possible, especially near tees and greens. Signs communicating Course Closed, Hole Closed, etc. must be adhered to without exception. g. Players are required to remain on cart paths when posted and must adhere to all cart directional signage, traffic signs and traffic stakes. h. Carts are never to be driven through marked hazard areas, flower beds or preservation areas. 11

12 i. Exercise caution to avoid soft areas on fairways, especially after rain. Whenever possible, use the rough and the following 90 Degree Rule: where carts are permitted on fairways, stay on cart paths or in areas of rough until opposite your ball, then drive straight to the ball (i.e. perpendicular to the play of the hole). After hitting, return to cart path or area of rough. j. Park carts to the sides or rear of the greens, never in front of greens. k. Do not drive a cart within 30 feet of a green or 15 feet of a tee, except when on a cart path. l. Club owned carts are for use on the golf course only and may not be driven to homes, parking areas or off of Club property. m. Every golf cart operator must be at least sixteen years of age and have a valid, state issued driver s license. n. A maximum of two persons may ride in the cart, regardless of whether the cart contains bags or clubs. o. Do not drive carts under low hanging branches or trees. p. The cost of repair of a Club owned cart, if damaged by negligence, will be charged to the Member or in the case of a guest, to the sponsoring Member. Operation of the cart is at the risk of the operators. 13) DISABLED ACCESS FOR GOLFERS a. The Starter will issue a special flag that will allow the occupants of the cart closer access to the greens and tees as determined by the Golf Staff. Even with use of a blue flag, carts must never get closer than within 30 feet of a green. On days when wet weather causes cart use to be restricted, all players must strictly adhere to such restrictions. GOLF CART HANDICAP FLAG OVERVIEW Handicap Flags will be issued for use by golfers who have physical disabilities that inhibit their ability to play golf at JL while abiding by the regular golf cart restrictions. Having a Handicap Flag displayed on their golf cart will allow the user to enter areas on the golf course otherwise restricted from golf cart traffic. These areas include, but are not limited to, approaches to greens and tees and areas beyond the stakes used to determine where the golf carts must regularly exit the fairways. GUIDELINES Under no circumstances may a cart be driven within 30 feet of a green Carts may not be driven within 15 feet of a bunker All wet, soft and muddy areas must be avoided at all times Where possible, cart paths should be used, especially around tees and greens No carts are to enter Hazards, Preservation Areas or Flower Beds at any time The 90 degree cart rule is in effect regardless of whether the cart carries a Handicap Flag or otherwise. Carts must use available paths until they reach a point level to where their ball lies and enter the fairway at a 90-degree angle to that point. Carts must leave the fairway at a 90-degree angle also using cart paths where provided. On days when the Cart Path Only Rule is in effect, under no circumstances will golf carts be allowed to leave the cart paths. No flags will be issued on these days. When using a Handicap Flag issued by the Club, please ensure to return the flag to the Golf Shop or Starter on completion of the round. Those wishing to purchase their own flag can do so in the Golf Shop. Please use good judgment and care when using a Handicap Flag. The course conditions are maintained for the enjoyment of all Members, and carts in sensitive spots of the course can cause a great deal of damage. Those persons found to be abusing the Handicap Flag privilege will be sent a letter reminding them of their responsibility when using a flag. Repeat offenders will have that privilege revoked. 14) PRIVATELY OWNED GOLF CARTS a. The right to use a privately owned golf cart on Club property is a non-transferable and non-as signable personal privilege that is granted at the Club s discretion only to Members. This right is 12

13 subject to the Club s Rules & Regulations and may be revoked or suspended by the Board of Directors. To qualify for this privilege, the Member must: i. own and maintain the golf cart; ii. iii. pay the annual trail fee currently in effect; present the golf cart for inspection to the Club employee who is designated by the Club to administer this program so that a decal may be applied for the current year by that employee; iv. provide the Club with proof of insurance coverage as required by the Club; v. execute and deliver to the Club an Annual Trail Rights Agreement for the current year; and vi. use the golf cart while playing golf at either the Village course or the Old Trail courses. b. If a Member qualifies and is granted the privilege of using a privately owned golf cart on Club property, the Club shall without charge provide the Member with a golf cart to use (i) while playing golf at either Old Trail or the Village course if the golf cart is stored nearer to and regularly used at the other facility, and (ii) when the Member s spouse is using their golf cart for golf or otherwise at the same facility. 15) NON-RESIDENT TRAIL FEE The annual Cart Fee permits the Member, who resides outside of Jonathan s Landing and Old Trail, use of a Club cart for the Members listed under the membership only. All guests will be charged the appropriate cart fee based on their usage. 16) GUESTS FOR GOLF a. A Member must register daily guests in order for them to use the golf facility. Members bear the responsibility for the activities of their guests. b. The same daily guest may only play at Jonathan s Landing and Old Trail a maximum of two times in a calendar month and a maximum of six times per year. Member-Guest tournaments and Inter-Club matches are excluded from these counts. c. A Member may have seven guests at one time at the accompanied guest rate. Members with groups of more than seven guests are subject to prior approval of the Director of Golf. d. A Member may sponsor unaccompanied guests. They are defined as guests not playing with a Member in attendance. During the season, unaccompanied guests may only play before 8:00am or after 12:30pm. All fees must be charged to the sponsoring Member s account. e. House guests are not restricted to the maximum of two times per month for playing, but are required to be sponsored by the Member for a maximum of two weeks. Proper introduction must be made through the Membership Department for guest cards. f. A Member, who has a long term (more than one week) unaccompanied house guest, may arrange for their house guest to use the Club facilities under the following: i. The guest may play golf a maximum of twice during their stay. During season, October 15 th through May 15 th, they can only play after 12:30pm with the payment of unaccompanied greens and cart fees. They may reserve a tee time two days in advance. Charges must be billed to the sponsoring Member s account. ii. The guest may utilize the bar and dining facilities, but may not participate in special Club events. Charges for bar and dining must be billed to the Member s account. iii. The guest may have same day tennis court privileges and is subject to applicable guest court fees, which must be billed to the sponsoring Member s account. iv. Unaccompanied guests may not introduce guests of their own for golf, tennis or dining. v. A Member may introduce a house guest only two times per calendar year and must inform the Membership Department of their guest s name, home address and planned dates of stay. 17) RAIN CHECK POLICY a. When weather prevails and causes the termination of play, a credit for that day s green fees and golf cart 13

14 fees will be prorated based on holes played as follows: i. 0-4 holes played - 18 hole rain check ii holes played - 9 hole rain check iii. More than 13 holes completed - No rain check b. A rain check can only be given for wet or dangerous conditions on the course and will not be given for cold, wind, etc. 18) HANDICAPS a. Handicaps are computed under the supervision of the Director of Golf in accordance with the current USGA rules and recommendations and monitored by the Handicap Committee. b. Accurate records are to be kept of scores. Scores are to be posted for all full rounds played. The Director of Golf in conjunction with the Handicap and Golf Committees shall arbitrarily revoke or adjust the posted handicaps of a Member if violations of proper scoring procedures occur. c. All scores from either 9-hole or 18-hole rounds must be recorded for handicap purposes. 19) LIGHTNING AND INCLEMENT WEATHER The Thor Guard Lightning Systems at JL and OT continuously monitor and evaluate the hazard level of possible lightning strikes and the probability of strikes occurring in the immediate area. a. When the Thor Guard Lightning System is activated, you will hear one prolonged blast from the sirens (15 seconds). When the alarm is activated, the respective courses and practice areas close. Members and guests are to seek shelters in the locations mentioned below, or return to the Clubhouse. Play may resume when the all-clear signal sounds which is three short blasts from the sirens (three five-second blasts). It is the player s responsibility to seek shelter when sirens are activated. Continuance of play when the system has been activated is not permitted. b. Lightning shelters at Jonathan s Landing are located at: Village holes #4 and #14; Hills holes #5, #11 and #15; Fazio holes #4, #6, #11 and #14. Also, the Clubhouses and maintenance buildings are available for shelter. Shelter locations are subject to change. c. Members and guests are responsible for their own safety and should take the necessary prescribed precautions. ADDITIONAL SAFETY TIPS a. Don t underestimate lightning s reach. It strikes outside storms. b. Avoid open areas, water, wire fences, overhead wires, power lines, isolated trees, elevated ground, maintenance machinery and golf carts. c. Avoid hilltops or other elevated areas on golf courses. d. Despite their rubber tires, golf carts can get hit by lightning. e. Metal-shafted clubs are conductors. Don t hold any clubs. f. Raising golf umbrellas above the head increases the risk of being struck when lightning is near. g. If you can t find a shelter, squat or get on all fours. h. If you feel your hair stand on end or your skin tingle, lightning may be about to strike you. Immediately drop to the ground. i. If you are concerned about your safety, golfers, at their own discretion, can suspend their own play because of lightning or any other dangerous situation. j. Rakes used to smooth footprints in bunkers should be placed outside of the bunker, parallel to the direction of play. 20) GOLF ATTIRE Appropriate golf attire is required for all players. All players are expected and required to wear proper attire at all times. A description of proper attire shall be posted prominently in the men s and women s locker rooms from time to time. Members are expected to ensure that their guests and family members adhere to such rules. 14

15 Men: Women: Shoes: Acceptable Shirts must have sleeves and either a traditional fold down collar or a mock collar of at least 1 and 3/8 in width. Golf shirts must always be tucked in. Hats and visors must be worn with the bill forward. Blouses are considered appropriate. Shirts with no sleeves must have a collar; shirts with no collar must have sleeves. Dresses, skirts and shorts must end within 4 of the knee. Slacks must be of an appropriate material. Appropriate golf shoes or approved shoes are required on the golf courses and practice areas. All golf shoes must have non-metal spikes. Use of shoes other than golf shoes must be pre-approved by the Golf Staff. Not Acceptable Tank tops, tee shirts or fishnet tops. Slacks or shorts must end within 4 of the knee and must be of appropriate khaki material. Bathing suits, tennis shorts or athletic shorts. Halter tops, tee shirts, fishnet tops. Bathing suits, sweat pants, jeans, tennis dresses or athletic shorts. Football spikes, baseball spikes, and metal spikes. This dress code is mandatory for all golfers. Improperly dressed golfers will be asked to change before playing or practicing. If you are in doubt concerning your attire, please check with the Golf Staff before beginning activity. Any misuse or disregard of these rules may cause privileges to be reviewed or suspended. 21) TOURNAMENT ELIGIBILITY Every Full Golf Member of Jonathan s Landing who wishes to play in Club tournaments must be in the Jonathan s Landing handicap system and have a minimum of five scores. Weekly events may require you to belong to the appropriate Men s or Ladies Associations. Mixed Golf, Twilight Golf, Pro- Members, the Jamboree and the Schooner are open to all Golf members; Sports members are eligible for events played after 12:00pm noon. 22) GUEST TOURNAMENTS Any guest entering a Jonathan s Landing tournament must have a verifiable USGA handicap index. Failure to provide proof of a handicap will require the guest to play at scratch (0). 23) TOURNAMENT WINNINGS AND GOLF SHOP CREDIT Winners of most Club events i.e., Men s, Ladies or Mixed, receive prizes in the form of Golf Shop credit. This credit accumulates and may be used for purchases in the Golf Shops for merchandise only. Periodically, the Club requires the golf shop credit to be used and will give ample notice before expiration. 24) POSTING SCORES a. All scores must be posted no matter where you play, if you completed at least 13 holes. For any hole that you did not play, record a par plus any handicap strokes to which you are entitled on that hole. Example: You are a 30 handicap and you stop playing after 15 holes because of darkness. Hole Par Handicap Number Your Handicap Strokes Your Score b. If you pick up on a hole without completing it, record the score you most likely would have made (i.e., if you have 2 feet left or more, assume you would have 2-putted). 15

16 25) EQUITABLE STROKE CONTROL a. There is a maximum number of strokes that you may post for any hole, whether you complete it or not, in accordance with the following USGA table: 18-Hole Handicap Maximum Score You Can Post For Any Hole over par b. There is a difference between posting and scoring. For instance, if you have a 32 handicap and you use 12 strokes on a hole, you score 12 as far as any competition is concerned, but you post 9 when you enter your score into the computer. 26) TOURNAMENT SCORES a. USGA s definition of a tournament score is a score made in any competition organized and conducted by a committee in charge of the competition. Only selected tournament rounds should be selected as tournament scores. SECTION 5 - TENNIS RULES 1) GENERAL a. The Rules of Tennis of the USTA shall apply at all times except when in conflict with local rules or with any of the rules below. b. All players must check-in and register at the Tennis Shop prior to play. Members must give their Membership number at registration and must register their guests at that time. c. Courts will be closed for maintenance requirements at the discretion of the Tennis Professional. d. Play will not be allowed on wet courts. Repair your footmarks when necessary. e. The Board of Directors, Tennis Committee and Management reserve the right to approve all tennis activities and make any changes regarding Rules & Regulations. f. Singles / Doubles Any Member may play singles by following the reservation system. The only restriction is the 8:00am and 9:30am time slots from October through May, when doubles are required. g. All players are required to play on their assigned court. h. Ball machines may be reserved through the Tennis Staff. i. Any problems with court conditions should be reported to the court maintenance staff or the reception desk. j. The Tennis Staff have priority on Court #1 for teaching. k. Members not abiding by the established rules may be subject to disciplinary action by the Board of Directors. l. The use of cell phones on the Tennis Court is strongly discouraged and should be limited to emergency situations. Cell phones should be turned off or put in the mute or vibrate mode. m. No pets are allowed at the Tennis Club at any time with the exception of service dogs for the physically challenged. 2) RESERVATIONS & REGISTRATION a. All Members and their guest(s) must make reservations for the use of the courts by calling the Tennis Shop at b. No standing reservations will be accepted. During the same day of play upon completion of scheduled court times and once a Member is off the court, the Member may sign up for the next available court time. c. All Golf, Sports & Tennis Members have six days in advance to call for court time. Renters may reserve a court one day in advance. d. Club Members and guests must sign in at the Tennis Shop before using a court. 16

17 e. Cancellations for Special Events made three days or less prior to the event will be subject to a 25% cancellation charge. No shows at Special Events will be subjected to a 100% cancellation charge. This policy applies to ALL Social, Tennis and Golf events. f. Court time is limited to 1½ hours for singles and doubles. g. The Tennis Director reserves the right to limit singles play during peak time. During the months of October thru May, Members are prohibited from playing singles during the 8:00am and 9:30am time slots. h. Please vacate your court promptly at the end of your playing time. It is a courtesy to allow players to finish the game they are playing prior to taking the court at your allotted time. Please use gates and entrances for your assigned court. Do not cross over other players courts to get to yours. 3) PROPER ATTIRE a. Proper tennis attire is required at all times. Tank tops, T-shirts, halter-tops, short shorts, cut-offs, jogging outfits, blue jeans or terry cloth shorts are not permitted on the tennis courts. Proper tennis shoes must be worn. No running shoes are allowed. Tennis shoes must be cleaned prior to entering the Fitness and Tennis Center. A description of proper attire will be posted on the bulletin board. 4) HOURS OF PLAY a. During the winter season, the hours of play are Monday - Sunday, 8:00am to 10:00pm daily. The Tennis Shop hours are 7:30am to 5:00pm daily. b. During the summer season, the hours of play are Monday - Sunday, 8:00am to 10:00pm daily. The Tennis Shop hours are 7:30am to 1:00pm and 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Saturday through Thursday and 7:30am to 12:00pm on Friday. The Tennis Shop will be closed on Fridays during the months of August and September. c. No play is allowed by any Member when the courts are closed. d. Reservations for night play must be made at the Tennis Shop during operating hours. 5) LIGHTNING AND INCLEMENT WEATHER a. The Thor Guard Lightning Prediction System has been installed at the Club. The following is a procedure to follow when the alarm sounds an alert: One prolonged blast from the siren for 15 seconds, the courts are closed and everyone should seek shelter inside the Fitness and Tennis Center. Continuance of play when the system has been activated is not permitted. b. Activity may resume when the all-clear sounds which is three short blasts from the sirens (three five second blasts). 6) LIGHTS/NIGHT PLAY a. Courts 1 thru 3 have lights for evening play. Please check with the Tennis Shop for operating instructions. 7) ETIQUETTE a. Players are asked to refrain from loud noise, that might disturb fellow Members on nearby courts. b. Players should enter the courts from the appropriate gates and not cut across other courts. c. Should you need to retrieve a ball from another court, wait until play has stopped and ask the players in that court to assist you. d. Profanity on and around the courts is considered inappropriate and will not be tolerated. e. The court areas and awnings are for players only. No pets or small children are allowed inside the courts. 8) GUEST POLICY a. A Member s guest may only play tennis a total of two times per month. A Member may invite more than one guest per time. The standard guest fee will apply if accompanied by the Member; otherwise the unaccompanied guest fee will apply. b. A house guest staying with a Member may play with Members anytime during their visit (not to exceed one month). The normal guest fee will apply if accompanied by the Member otherwise the unaccompanied guest fee will apply. 17

18 c. Renters: Tennis Privileges, assuming the unit owner has a golf, sports or tennis membership: Includes use of tennis facilities with a daily unaccompanied-guest fee charge, access to all dining facilities and charge account privileges. d. Immediate family, living outside a 100-mile radius of Jonathan s Landing, may play after 11:00am at no charge. (Children under the age of 12 must be supervised). 9) ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS a. The Board of Directors, Tennis Committee and Management reserve the right to approve al tennis activities and make any changes regarding Rules & Regulations. b. There is a Member guarantee when signing up to participate in Tennis activities or events that include food and beverage services. The cancellation policy is as follows: 3 days before event No Charge Within 3 days 25% Charge No Show 100% Charge SECTION 6 FITNESS RULES 1) GENERAL a. Check In: All Members and guests must check-in at the front reception area prior to use of the Fitness Center. Use of the Fitness Center is permitted during open hours as established by the Club. Members will be issued scannable ID cards to use the facility. All Members and guests will sign waiver forms prior to using equipment or taking classes. b. Valuables and Personal Property: We request that Members and guests avoid bringing valuables into the Fitness Center. Jonathan s Landing shall not be liable for the loss of personal property of Members and guests. Please store your personal items in a cubby or locker. Athletic bags are not permitted on the workout floor. c. Lockers: Jonathan s Landing provides complimentary daily use lockers solely for the benefit and convenience of Members. Please remove any belongings before exiting the Fitness Center to avoid removal by management. Articles removed from daily lockers will be stored in lost and found for a maximum of one (1) month. d. Dress Code: Members and guests are required to wear appropriate attire, inclusive of shirt or top, shorts and/or pants, and sneakers/footwear to utilize the Fitness facilities. Open-toed shoes or sandals are not permitted in the Fitness area. Management reserves the right to address inappropriate or offensive attire. e. Children s Use: Jonathan s Landing allows children from years of age to utilize the facilities while accompanied by a parent, guardian or a Jonathan s Landing Personal Trainer. Children 16 years of age and older may utilize the facilities without a chaperone. All children must initially be accompanied by a Parent or Guardian and have a Parental Consent form completed prior to working out. Jonathan s Landing reserves the right to discontinue usage by any child whose behavior is offensive to any other Member, guest or employee, or who is unsupervised. f. Cell Phone Use: Cell phones and pagers may be carried on the fitness floor, but we require them to be kept on silent or vibrate mode. Out of courtesy for your fellow Members, phone conversations will not be allowed in the Fitness Area. g. Steam Room: The Steam Room is a sensitive environment. The appropriate attire for the Steam Room is a towel and disposable slippers. Do not wear street clothes, workout clothes or athletic shoes into the rooms. For sanitary hygiene, please use a clean towel to sit on. Please do not bring papers or magazines into the steam room. h. Group Fitness Rules: Please allow enough time to sign in before each class. We require appropriate attire and footwear be worn in all Group Fitness classes. Please contain all liquids in a non-spill type bottle. 18

19 i. Use of Equipment: We request that any Member or guest with health or physical problems should first consult his or her physician before using the exercise equipment or participating in exercise classes. Members may use exercise equipment at their own risk. We encourage you to schedule a Fitness Assessment with one of our fitness professionals. An initial Fitness Assessment for Members is complimentary. Unattended use of Pilates equipment is prohibited. j. Spa: Member s and their guests are required to shower prior to a massage therapy appointment after they have worked out. 2) PERSONAL TRAINING / PILATES CLASSES / SPA SERVICES a. We require all Personal Training sessions and Spa services to be booked through the Fitness Center at b. Use of non- Jonathan s Landing Personal Trainers in the Club is prohibited. c. We request that Members refrain from Personal Training other Members and avoid receiving personal training from guests. d. We require that Members give a 24-hour notice to cancel appointments to avoid a full price charge. e. Personal Training, Pilates and class sessions will expire 12 months from date of purchase. 3) FITNESS ETIQUETTE a. Members using the Fitness Center should use a towel at all times. All towels should be disposed of in the towel hampers provided at the entrance/exit of the Fitness Center. b. Please be considerate of your fellow Members and wipe down the equipment after each use. We request that if you sweat excessively, please take responsibility for cleaning the machine and area around it. c. Re-rack your weights after use of a machine and avoid dropping weights for the safety of others. d. Limit cardio to 30 minutes during prime time hours. e. Return all reading material. f. Please report all maintenance issues to a team member in the reception area. g. The use of deodorant is strongly encouraged. h. Please only wear mild perfumes/colognes in the Fitness Center due to fellow Members sensitivity. i. Please do not bring food or drinks into the Fitness Center with the exception of closed top bottles. j. Please exercise proper Fitness Etiquette toward fellow Members; loud or disorderly conduct is not permitted. 4) GUEST POLICY Guest Fees: Day Guest - $10 daily fee (Twice a month, maximum of 6 times per calendar year) House Guest - $10 daily fee (Daily use during stay up to 2 weeks, twice per year) Weekly Guest - $40 fee (7 consecutive days) ACCOMPANIED GUESTS: For full Club usage, Members must request, in advance, a temporary Guest Card from the Membership Services office located in the Village Clubhouse. Members who wish to register their guests for Fitness Center usage only can do so at the Fitness reception desk and pay a daily or weekly guest fee. Each Day Guest can visit the Fitness Center a maximum of six times per year. Guest usage is based on availability. All guest fees must be paid by Member charge or credit card. House Guests are permitted to use the facilities during their stay for a period of two weeks. All Guests MUST present Guest Card and register at front desk for entry into the Fitness & Spa Center. UNACCOMPANIED GUESTS: All unaccompanied guests must be registered prior to usage. For full Club usage, Members must request, in advance, a temporary Guest Card from the Membership Services office located in the Village Clubhouse. Members who wish to register their guests for Fitness Center usage can do so at the Fitness reception desk and pay a daily or weekly guest fee. All guest fees must be paid by either Member charge or credit card. All unaccompanied Guests MUST present Guest Card and register at front desk for entry into the Fitness & Spa Center. 19

20 GUEST PRIVILEGES: Guests of a Member may be extended guest privileges subject to applicable guest fees, charges and Rules & Regulations established from time to time by the Club Management. Guest privileges may be denied, withdrawn, or revoked at any time for reasons considered sufficient by the Club Management in its sole absolute discretion. The Fitness Center reserves the right to limit the number of guests that accompany a Member on any given day. It is the intention of the Fitness Center to accommodate as many guests as possible without creating an inconvenience to the membership. All guests shall be either Day Guests or House Guests. A House Guest is defined as a guest temporarily residing in a Member s residence in Jonathan s Landing or local area. All other guests are considered Day Guests. Members should notify their guests of all Rules & Regulations set forth by the Fitness Center. Guests are required to follow the dress code while using the Fitness Center. All guests must read and sign the waiver prior to entry into the Fitness Center. SECTION 7 - MEMBERSHIP 1) MEMBERSHIP CLASSIFICATION a. Golf Members, Senior Golf Members, Widow-Widower Golf Members, Executive Members and Honorary Members shall have the right to use all facilities of the Golf Club. b. Sports Members shall have the right to use all facilities of the golf club. Limited golf and access after 12:00pm, October 16 th through April. Unlimited golf and access with no time restrictions, May 1 st through October 15 th. c. Tennis Members may use all the tennis facilities, dining facilities and the Fitness & Spa Center. A Tennis Member may play golf as an accompanied guest six times per year and a maximum of twice per month. d. House Members may use all dining facilities and the Fitness & Spa Center. House Members are not permitted to use tennis facilities. They may play golf as an accompanied guest six times per and a maximum of twice per month. 2) APPLICATION FOR MEMBERSHIP a. Applicants for Membership must be proposed in writing by submitting three (3) written letters of reference to the Membership Committee. The applicant shall sign and file with the Membership Committee an application containing such information about the applicant as the Board of Directors may require. The applicant must agree in a written subscription agreement to abide by the Bylaws of the Club and Rules & Regulations adopted from time to time by the Board of Directors. An application for Membership must be accompanied by the initiation fee, unless otherwise directed by the Board of Directors. 3) RENTER A member may rent his/her unit. The Club grants limited use of its facilities to Renters in Jonathan s Landing Golf Club, Inc. under the following programs. In each case a privilege fee that will be determined by the Board, is required from the Renter and certain stipulations apply. a. Golf Privileges: Assuming the unit owner has a Golf Membership: includes bag storage and locker, use of golf facilities with a guest fee for each round of golf, use of the Fitness and Tennis center with a daily charge, access to all dining facilities and charge account privileges. Renters may not use the owner s golf cart and cart fees will be charged. Tee time reservations may be made two (2) days in advance. b. Sports Privileges: Assuming the unit owner has a Golf or Sports Membership: includes limited golf access October 16 th to April 30 th with a guest fee for each round of golf and full golf access May 1 st to October 15 th. Applicable guest fees for each round of golf apply. Use of the Fitness and Tennis Center with a daily charge, access to all dining facilities and charge account privileges. Renters may not use the owner s golf cart and cart fees will be charged. Tee time reservations may be made two (2) days in advance. c. Tennis Privileges: Assuming the unit owner has a Golf, Sports, or Tennis Membership: includes use of the Fitness and Tennis Center with a daily charge, access to all dining facilities and charge account privileges. Renters may reserve court times one day in advance. 20

House Privileges: Assuming the unit owner has a Golf, Sports, Tennis or House Membership: includes use of Fitness and Tennis Center with daily charge, access to all dining facilities and charge account privileges. There are restricted reservations for special events. e. Privileges are restricted to renters residing at Jonathan s Landing or Old Trail for a minimum of one calendar month and a maximum not to exceed three consecutive calendar months. Fees will cover husband and wife and single children 25 years of age and under. If more than one family rents a unit together, only one privilege fee per unit will be permitted. Extra family members/renters will be treated as guests and pay appropriate fees. If a renter transfers from one unit to another or extends his rental period, he will be subject to a processing fee. Privileges are not transferable. A copy of the rental agreement must be supplied to the Club no later than 30 days prior to the rental commencement. f. The Owner and Renter must pay any and all membership and user fees prior to the extension of any privileges. g. Applications of Privileges: All requests for privileges will be handled through the Membership Office of The Club. h. Non-transferable: Privileges are non-transferable and any abuse will be cause for immediate revocation of privileges. i. Privilege Fees: All fees are subject to Florida sales tax and must be paid in full prior to the Club extending any privileges. j. Charging Privileges: All renters will be accorded charging privileges and will be provided with privilege cards bearing the renter s account number. Renters may be asked to present their privilege cards whenever charging to their account. Renters will receive a monthly statement of account and all charges will be payable in full. Renters agree to uphold their financial obligations and understand that should they fail to meet these monetary obligations, their credit cards will be charged the full amount with appropriate penalty. Ultimately, if the amounts owed cannot be obtained from the renter, the member who has entered into the rental agreement will be responsible for all charges prior to any court filings. k. Renters Guests: Renter s guests must comply with all Rules & Regulations set forth by the Club, and renters will be responsible for their guest s behavior and dress. l. Multiple Residence/Simultaneous Use Program: Owners of multiple residential units and/or those desiring simultaneous use of the Club s facilities by both Owner and Renter will be charged annual fees per unit for usage privileges. m. Renters Golf Information: Renters are required to pay golf fees and cart fees for each round of golf. Two day advanced tee times on all three courses. Renters are not allowed to use owner s golf carts. Renters are eligible for Monday s open tournaments held at Old Trail. n. Renters Tennis Information: Renters are required to pay daily court fees. Renters may call one day in advance for court times. o. A Member who has a long term (more than one week) unaccompanied house guest may arrange for their house guest to use the Club facilities under the following: i. Play golf a maximum of two times during their stay. During season, October 15 th - May 15 th, they can play only after 12:30pm with the payment of greens and cart fees, which are applicable to an unaccompanied guest. They may reserve a tee time two days in advance. Charges will be billed to the Member s account. ii. Utilize the bar and dining facilities but may not participate in special Club events. Charges for bar and dining will a billed to the Member s account. iii. May have same day tennis court privileges and must pay guest court fees. iv. May not introduce guests of his own for golf, tennis or dining. v. A Member may introduce a house guest only two times per calendar year and he must inform the Membership Director of the guest s name, home address and planned dates of stay. 21
