For those of you that will be traveling, please remember to be extra safe. Hole in One Mania Don t forget to get signed up for the hole in one jackpot. Must be a member at RHCC Must be made at RHCC Must be playing one ball Occurs during a minimum 9-hole round Scored on regular tee and green Witnessed by at least one other person of reasonable age Two in one day split You may sign up on Men s night or with a Golf Shop staff member at any time. $10.00 Scramble Finale The annual Men's Scramble Finale is scheduled for Saturday, November 3rd. Sign-up sheet is located in the breezeway. Teams will be a blind draw by handicap. To participate, you must have played in five Thursday night scrambles. Contact the Golf Shop at for details. Deadline to sign up is WEDNESDAY, October 31st. Turkey Scramble The Turkey Scramble will be held Sunday, November 4th. Entry fee for this event is $8 per player or $15 per couple. You may sign up as a team or individually. Play will begin with a shotgun start at 12:00 pm. Sign up in the Golf Shop or by telephone. Please do not pay until day of tournament. Sale Sale Sale (Through November 8) All summer shirts are 50% off. All fall apparel is 30% off. (UK apparel not included) All shoes are an extra 20% off lowest marked price. All the best in Golf, Kevin Rhinehart, PGA Professional November Golf Schedule November 3 Saturday Scramble Finale November 4 Sunday Turkey Scramble 12:00 Noon Shotgun Board of Directors' Meeting The November meeting of the RHCC Board of Directors will be held on Monday, November 12th at 6:00 PM at the Rolling Hills Clubhouse. All members are invited to attend. TURKEY SCRAMBLE The annual Turkey Scramble is this Sunday, November 4th, with a shotgun start at noon. Entry fee for this event is $8 per player or $15 per couple. You may sign up as a team or individually. Sign up in the Golf Shop. FALL MEMBERSHIP PROMOTION During the months of November and December, new members may join and pay NO DUES until April This promotion is for Regular and Swim/Tennis memberships. All new memberships will be required to pay the Assessment of $500 for Regular memberships or $130 for Swim/Tennis memberships.* For any new members who sign a two-year contract, we will waive the initiation fee. Spread the word -- No Dues until April -- Limited Time Offer *Assessment may be paid in lump sum or payments.
3 Men's Night - Thursdays Thursday Night Men's Night continues in November, and we are mixing it up!! Different menus each week!! Thursday, November 1st -- All You Can Eat Pizza -- $3 Watch for your weekly to see what's coming up on Thursday nights! Corn hole -- ping pong -- and more!!! Ladies' Golf Association, Day League The Day Ladies League will host their annual Chili Scramble on Tuesday, October 30th, at 10 AM. This will be the last golfing event for the Day Ladies until next spring. SAVE THE DATE -- Tuesday, December 11th -- Ladies' League Christmas Dinner at Rolling Hills!! Ladies' Golf Association, Night League The Night Ladies Golf League is pleased to announce their new officers for the seasons. Please join us in congratulating new officers Jane Parsley, President; Laurie Cronin, Vice President; Laurie Ezell, Secretary, and Angel Edwards, Treasurer. The outgoing officers (Terry Sorrell, Andrea Berschied, Kim Denton, and Leigh Ann Dycus) wish to extend their thanks to all the members and RHCC staff who helped make the Night League activities so successful over the past few years. Information on the upcoming Ladies Golf Association Christmas dinner will be provided through a league . The Night Ladies will continue to plan activities for Tuesday nights during the off season so look for messages and in the RHCC newsletter for information regarding wintertime activities.
4 Kids' Halloween Hot Dog Roast & Trick or Treating Saturday, November 3rd Decorate your golf cart and dress up the kids in their best Halloween costume for a night of ghoulish fun at RHCC. On Saturday, November 3rd, starting at 5:00 p.m. we ll have hot dogs and Halloween treats on the back patio. Then as the sun sets over Rolling Hills and the spooks come out to play, we will be trick-or-treating (using your own decorated golf carts) on the golf course. Prizes will be awarded for best decorated golf cart and best costume! Members are needed to decorate and pass out candy on trick-or-treat holes. Sign-up sheet is on the Bulletin Board. Contact Rick Goins at for more information. Donations for candy welcome - drop off in box in entryway. In what year did the Titanic sink?? What two wizards were best friends of Harry Potter?? Know the answers?? We will have TEN categories with TEN questions in each. Gather up your friends (limit of six per team) and reserve your table for the annual TRIVIA NIGHT at Rolling Hills -- Saturday, November 17th. We will pre-game in the bar starting at 6 PM. Trivia begins at 7 PM. First and second place winners will receive a prize. Consolation prize for last place. Bring your favorite snacks for your team. $11 per player. Limited to first 25 teams. Mulligans available for $5 - limit of 6. Table sign-up sheet is in the bar. DEADLINE to sign up is Monday, November 12th.
5 IT'S BAAAACKK! We've been waiting a long time -- well since March -- but it's finally back -- NCAA College Basketball -- and we are ready!!!! The buzz is in the air at RHCC and we'll be ready to tailgate for our favorite teams all season long. Watch your s each week for details on game time viewing for all our favorite teams! NCAA Men's Basketball & RHCC fans -- doesn't get any better!!! UK vs. DUKE -- Tuesday, November 6th - 6:30 PM Tailgate party -- bring your favorite game time foods!!! Schedule Your Holiday Party It's time to reserve the Clubhouse for your Christmas parties this holiday season. We have a limited number of dates still available. Let us do all the decorating for your Christmas party this year. The entire Clubhouse will be transformed for the season into a holiday wonderland with brilliant lights and beautiful decorations. Call today to reserve your date, , Ext 1. Vacancies on the Board of Directors There are three vacancies on the RHCC Board of Directors. Pursuant to the RHCC Bylaws, the next election will be held January 14, The RHCC By-laws require there be at least five candidates for this election to fill the three terms. Jason Bell is Chair for the nominating committee along with RHCC members David Edwards, Matt Ihnen and John Rikel. Don't forget to set your clocks BACK on Saturday night, November 3rd, as daylight savings time comes to an end for this year!
6 2018 RHCC Men's Invitational Champion Chris Griffin & RHCC Golf Professional Kevin Rhinehart 61st Annual Rolling Hills Country Club Men's Invitational Golf Tournament The 61st Annual Rolling Hills Country Club Men's Invitational Golf Tournament is in the books. The tournament was moved from its usual warm, summertime date to October 27 & 28 due to the greens conversion on the course. Cool weather on Saturday and windy but sunny weather on Sunday greeted the field of 56 golfers. Congratulations to RHCC member Chris Griffin whose two day total of 140 secured his victory for this event. This was Chris' second time to win this event finishing one stroke ahead of fellow RHCC member and four-time winner Josh Rhodes. The Senior flight was tied at the end of regulation play between Tommy Thomas and Kevin Westerfield. Both Tommy and Kevin shot a two-day total of 155 forcing a playoff with Tommy clinching the victory on the third hole.
