The Club boasts a spectacular 18-hole championship golf course, lush landscaping, the winding Stony Brook stream, and a renovated Clubhouse. For the racquet devotee, we offer three champion outdoor, lighted Lee Hydro-Court clay tennis courts and duel lighted aluminum paddle tennis courts with warming hut. AGREEMENT I am applying for a membership to Hopewell Valley Golf & Country Club. I understand that my membership feees are paid in advance for use of the golf facilities of the club as described on the Rules and Regulations. I have read the membership application and the Rules and Regulations, and agree to abide by these and all other club rules and policies. 5 Rules & Regulations 2019 TERMS OF MEMBERSHIP PAYMENT A Golf Membership Deposit is to be paid by cash or check (payable to Hopewell Valley Golf & Country Club). A deposit will be charged upon acceptance of application. Remaining dues will be billed monthly. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express may be used for full payment in advance with application. If you choose to pay with credit card the total due plus 3% convenience fee will be billed to your credit card. There will be no re-funds after initial deposit. All memberships are non-transferable. Student memberships are to be paid in full with application. FULL PAYMENT DISCOUNT Annually, the club will provide an offer if you choose to prepay your dues in full. SALES TAX All Memberships will be charged applicable NJ State sales tax on their membership dues. PAYMENT ON PERSONAL ACCOUNT Members will be provided a personal account to charge all purchases. This account will be billed to the member after the 1st of every month. Payment is due upon receipt of the bill. Payments to account may be made by check or cash only. The club reserves the right to suspend a member s billing and/or golf privileges for late payments or unpaid bills. The club will charge a monthly finance charge of 3% for any balance over 60 days. I acknowledge that Hopewell Valley Golf & Country Club may take whatever action it deems necessary to effect collection, including, without limitation, suspension or termination of my membership or legal action, and I shall be liable for all costs and for any expense of such legal action and reasonable attorney s fees, including any fees required in connection with appellate proceedings. PAST DUE ACCOUNT BALANCES Failure to keep account balances current, balance over 60 days past due, will result in suspension of charging privileges without verbal or written notice. Failure to keep account balances current may also result in suspension of golf privileges and legal action. Persistent problem of past due balances will result in termination of membership and legal action. MEMBER CLASSIFICATIONS Memberships will be classified based on the age of the oldest member. HVGC reserves the right to change or eliminate membership classifications and type of memberships. SEASONS Seasons relate to green fee rates only. Summer Memorial Day through Labor Day Shoulder April 1 through Thursday prior to Memorial Day Weekend Tuesday after Labor Day through November Winter December 1 through March 31 TEE TIME POLICY Tee Time Intervals will be on 10 minute intervals in an effort to maintain pace of play and overall enjoyment. Golfing Members will be permitted to make tee times 14 days in advance. Sports Members may book 10 days in advance and Public players may book 7 days in advance. Continued

6 Rules & Regulations 2019 Non-Golf Members will be allowed to book tee times for themselves and up to three guests starting 10 days in advance, with the exception of weekend mornings. It is the member s responsibility who booked the tee time to call the golf shop 24 hours or more in advance to cancel a reserved tee time. Failure to abide by the cancellation policy will result in a $25 per person fee to the member s account. Continued problems with no shows may result in loss of privileges. CART Members will be charged for the use of golf carts. The price per use charge is $27 for 18-Holes and $16 for 9-Holes and Twilight (4 hours before sun down). During the Summer Season, golf cart and or trolleys are required Saturday, Sunday and Holidays prior to 2:00pm. During the Shoulder Season golf cart or trolleys are required Saturday, Sunday and Holidays prior to 12:00pm. During the Off-Season golf carts are optional. Pre-paid cart packages are available at a 20% discount. FOOD MINIMUMS Food minimums require each membership to spend a certain amount in food and beverage at the club. Each membership category will have a required food minimum amount and time period in which it must be spent. Members will be notified in writing along with any other changes to fees by the first day of December of each year. No minimums will be charged January and February. OUTING & BANQUET DISCOUNTS All Golf Members receive a 5% discount on member sponsored outings and banquet events. Discount will apply to final agreed upon price. DUES Management shall determine the amount and method of payment of the annual dues for each Membership Classification. HVGC reserves the right to adjust pricing and plans on an annual basis. Each member shall be provided with a list of dues for all membership categories by the first day of December of each year. INITIATION FEES Management shall determine the amount and method of payment of Initiation Fees to be paid by new members. These fees shall be published and made available for all members of the Club. OTHER FEES Management shall determine the amount and method of payment of other fees, including, but not limited to Green Fees, Locker Fees, Golf Cart Fees, and Guest Fees. Such fees shall be published and made available to all members of the Club, and once established, shall remain in effect for at least one year. HEALTH/MEDICAL LEAVES OF ABSENCE There will be no refunds. Medical issues will be taken on an case-by-case basis. If a member has a medical issue, Hopewell Valley Golf & Country Club will need a signed doctor s note and the date range when the member could not play golf. There will be no cash refunds based on health/medical conditions, but a dues credit may be given if deemed appropriate. Credits will be applied upon the return from medical leave. OTHER LEAVES OF ABSENCE Members in any classification may, at the discretion of Management, be granted a Leave of Absence in one (1) year increments, for a period of time not to exceed five (5) years. Leaves shall require written requests from the member at least ninety (90) days prior to the date that the Leave is to become effective and for each annual extension thereto. The initial request for a Leave of Absence must be submitted to Management at least ninety (90) days prior to the date the Leave is to become effective, and shall describe all pertinent information related to the reason for the Leave. The initial Leave shall only be effective for the remainder of the year in which it was requested.

Management shall review and render a decision on all requests for an extension prior to the end of the year. All dues, minimum charges, and other obligations of the member as determined by Management shall be paid in full prior to a Leave of Absence becoming effective. Members whose Leave of Absence expires or who do not extend their leaves in accordance with these regulations shall be considered to have resigned from the Club, and shall only be re-admitted after being processed through the prescribed admission procedure for new members and payment of applicable initiation fees in effect at the time of re-admission. MEMBER CONDUCT Members are expected to maintain the posted pace of play on the golf course, adhere to the dress code, follow cart rules, replace divots, fix ball marks, rake sand traps, and follow all local course and appropriate USGA rules of golf. Members are responsible for themselves and for their guests behavior. Members are expected to play honestly in club tournaments. Failure to play honestly, or maintain an honest handicap, may result in suspension from club tournaments. Crude, loud elicit language and behavior will not be tolerated. Failure to abide by the rules of the club may result in suspension or termination of membership. SUSPENSION & TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP RESIGNATION A member may resign from the Club by written notification to the General Manager at least ninety (90) days prior to the date the resignation. The effective resignation date will be considered the last day of the month that notice was given. All indebtedness of a member resigning from the Club, including all outstanding annual dues, assessments and minimum charges, shall become due and all rights and privileges shall cease as of the effective date of the resignation. Upon resignation, a member may be re-admitted to the Club after being processed through the prescribed admission procedures for new members, and the payment of all applicable initiation fees in effect at the time of re-admission. Legacy members will be reclassified to golf membership upon re-admission. SUSPENSION A member may be suspended or otherwise reprimanded by the General Manager for non-payment of indebtedness, misconduct, violation of Club Rules, or the endangerment of the Club, its welfare, or its members. Except where otherwise prohibited by law, any member who files or institutes any legal proceeding against the Club or any of its directors, officers, agents or employees may be subject to suspension. Suspensions shall be at the Ownerships discretion, and shall be imposed on a member only after a hearing on the matter has been held. Ownership shall notify the member at least ten (10) days in advance of the date of the hearing, stating specifically the grounds for the pending suspension. During a period of suspension, the suspended member shall continue to be responsible for all applicable dues, assessments, and minimum charges, but shall not have any Club privileges. Membership fees are based on a 12-month period. A member may not resign from the club until his or her first 12-month period is completed.

Any member who fails to pay their accounts due within thirty days of the billing date shall be charged interest on the amount not paid. When a member has an amount due on his account that has not been paid for sixty days, he shall be notified in writing by Management that he has ten (10) days to pay all amounts due over thirty days. If not paid in the 10 days, their membership will be suspended until paid. Any member who has not paid all amounts due over thirty days, within thirty days, shall be called to give reason why he should not be expelled from the Club. Failure to appear to meet with the general manager, as requested, shall be cause for expulsion. Any member who is delinquent sixty days twice within any twelve-month period, shall be subject to suspension. LOSS OR DAMAGES The Club shall not be responsible for property brought onto the premises by members, visitors, guests, or by other persons. Property of the Club shall not be loaned, rented, or otherwise removed from the premises, or be put to any use other than that for which it was intended. Members shall be responsible for any breakage or damage to Club property which has been caused by them, other members of their family, or their guests. CELL PHONE USE Cell phone use is permitted. Cell phones are required to be in silent or vibrate mode while on the course or in any of the dining rooms. Members are asked to walk out of the dining room if they are going to take a call. Members may take calls in the locker rooms, outside the clubhouse, and in the parking lot. DRESS CODE Proper golf attire must be worn on the golf course. No t-shirts, cut-offs, swim or gym clothing. Denim is acceptable in the clubhouse and driving range. Denim may be worn during off-season months on the course. Men s hats should be removed when entering the upstairs clubhouse. MEMBER TOURNAMENT PLAY Please see separate tournament package for all dates, times and eligibility. STUDENT MEMBERSHIP Student members must be between the ages of 10 and 23 and attending school full time. Student members between 10 and 13 years of age must be evaluated by a member of the professional staff before being permitted to play unaccompanied golf. Students 14 years old and up may play without an adult. FAMILY MEMBERSHIP Consists of the primary member, a spouse and any children under age 23 residing at home or attending school full time. Children will be charged a cart fee if riding. Rules and Regulations are subject to change.
