2 To: All of The First Tee Participants and Parents: The 31st Annual WSGA Alan Bennett Junior Golf Championship will be hosted by Las Vegas,. This tournament is designed to allow seasoned junior golfers an opportunity to compete against some of the most competitive juniors in the Western Region. THERE IS NOT A BEGINNER S FLIGHT. All golfers are expected to play at least double bogey golf. Attached is all the information regarding the championship. The entry form and code of conduct form should be filled in completely and submitted on time. The cost to participate in the Annual is $75.00 for each junior. However, you must participate in all fundraisers if you do not participate in the fundraisers and raise the minimum amounts you will be ask for additional funds. All checks should be made payable to The First Tee South Los Angeles and mailed to: P.O. Box , Los Angeles, CA The deadline for receipt of all forms and fee is June 1, No exceptions. We will be traveling to Las Vegas on a luxury bus. The tournament hotel will be the Embassy Suites, 4315 Swenson Street, Las Vegas NV phone All participants are expected to participate in all activities, including rooming with the chaperone. Adults not chaperoning should make their reservations directly with Valley View Junior Golf to receive the special room rate of $ All details are available upon request. 4 August 2-5 th 2011, Las Vegas, Nevada Rules of Conduct Chaperones: Golfers must obey requests of all chaperones. All Golfers must be chaperoned at all times. No chaperone, no swimming! No chaperone, no venturing away from the hotel or golf course. Curfew 10:00 PM: All golfers 17 years of age and younger, must be in their rooms by 10:00 PM. Those 18 years of age and older must be in their rooms by 11:00 PM Dress Code: Jeans, biker shorts, cut-offs are not to be worn on the course by tournament participants. Shirts are to be worn inside the shorts, skirts, or slacks Hats of caps are to be worn with the bills directly over the eyes and forehead Club colors will be worn on Thursday, August 4th WSGA shirts will be worn on Friday, August 5th Equipment: All golfers must have their own golf clubs, balls, bag and tees and must walk and carry their own bag. Riding on electric cars will be grounds for disqualification. Participation: All golfers are expected to participate in all planned activities and obey all rules of conduct. Profanity: Participants are expected to refrain from the use of profanity. The use of profanity will be reason for disqualification from the tournament. Prohibited Behavior: No possession of illegal drugs, weapons, fireworks, cigarettes or other contraband. No fighting, use of profanity, littering, or gang activity. No throwing of clubs or other inappropriate conduct Disqualification: Any participant who is disqualified for any reason is ineligible for awards, prizes or tournament participation and may be sent home prior to the end of the tournament at the expense of his or her parent or legal guardian. 5 Official Rules and Regulations Las Vegas, Nevada Format: The competition will be individual stroke play. Play will be governed by USGA rules of golf except where modified by local rules. Play he ball as it lies. Putt out all putts. Each golfer will exchange scorecards within the foursome. No player shall fill out his or her own scorecard. Please make sure the official scorer has the correct score upon completion of each hole. If there is a dispute the player or the official scorer should consult a rules person for a final decision. Each golfer must sign his or her scorecard and the scorecard must also be signed by the scorer to verify that all scores are reported accurately. All scorecards just be turned in to the tournament scorer{s) no later than fifteen minutes after the completion of the round of play.

There will be an official scorer with each foursome on the par 3 & executive courses. Each golfer will exchange scorecards within the foursome. No player shall fill out his or her own scorecard. Please make sure the official scorer has the correct score upon completion of each hole. If there is a dispute the player or the official scorer should consult a rules person for a final decision. Each golfer must sign his or her scorecard and the scorecard must also be signed by the scored to verify that all scores are reported accurately. All scorecards must be turned in to the tournament scorer(s) no later than fifteen minutes after the completion of the round of play. Awards: There will be 3 trophies in each flight of boys and girls. The appropriate authority will disqualify players who are unable to compete in their flights in a competitive manner, or who display conduct that is inconsistent with WSGA guidelines. Spectators: ONLY APPROVED Spectators with ID Badges will be ALLOWED on the golf course. Ties: All ties are broken by card play-off using USGA procedures. Age Exception: Ties for Boys and/or Girls Entry to PGA Jr. Championship will be determined by (sudden death) play-off, in accordance with USGA rules, Assistance on the Golf Course: Any participant receiving unauthorized assistance from anyone on the golf course other than a tournament official will be disqualified.
