2 TEXAS STATE RIFLE ASSOCIATION F-Class Mid-Range Championship Matches Oct 20-22, 2015 This tournament is sponsored by the Texas State Rifle Association as the Official F-Class Mid-Range Championship, registered as such with the National Rifle Association. Matches will be held at Panola County Gun Club near Carthage, TX. Texas State Rifle Association officials for this tournament are: Dan Butts President Doug DuBois, Jr Executive Director Skip Barkley Match Director Skip Barkley Chief Range Officer Registration: Registration and entry fees must be received by Oct 13, Advance entry is highly encouraged to facilitate computer entry and squadding. Post-entries accepted up to range capacity. A $10.00 fee will be charged for post entry. NRA award points will not be accepted. Field will be limited to the first 64 paid participants. Competitors with classifications will have priority over unclassified competitors. Stay on FM2517 for several miles. After you pass FM444, the range is on the left before next curve. Eligibility: All competitors must be members of the TSRA. Competitors must complete a TSRA membership application before squadding, if not already a TSRA member. Non-residents of Texas may purchase a match membership for $ Statistical Officer may ask for proof of TSRA membership and/or classification. 3 Team Match Registration: This is a fired team match. Entry closes 7:45 Friday, Oct 20, on the firing line. Pick-up teams are permitted. Team members must be same category to compete for team awards. PAY TEAM ENTRY FEE WHEN TEAM IS ENTERED. (Do not prepay team entry fee). Refunds: Entry fee will be refunded provided notification made by 3pm, Oct 13, No shows will not be refunded. Daily Start Times: Matches begin at 0800, pits sealed at 0745 hours. Rules: Current NRA High Power Rifle rules apply. Classification: NRA F-Class mid-range classification will be used in all matches. Unclassified competitors will compete in the Master class. Assigned F-Class long-range classification will be used if the competitor does not have a mid-range classification Assigned High Power classification or Smallbore classification will be used if competitor is not classified in F-Class. This 120 shot tournament will establish a mid-range classification. Pit Service: Each competitor will be required to serve in the pits. Eye and ear protection is required in the pits. Competitors not physically able to pull targets must provide their own qualified target puller and have pre-arranged approval of Match Director. Hired pullers may pull for only one competitor at a time. Children and non-competitors are not allowed in the pits. Scoring: Competitors will score during all matches. Scorecards are to be turned in by scorekeepers following the completion of firing each individual match. A scorer failing to turn in a score card may result in disqualification. Scorecard Changes: Changes and erasures without scorer s initials can disqualify competitor for that match. Challenges: $2.00 will be charged for each challenge but will be refunded if challenge is sustained. A schedule will be posted of challenge times. All scores and awards are tentative until publication of the final bulletin. Competitors should notify the Statistical Officer of any apparent errors. Equipment: F-Open: NRA Rule 3.4(a), F-TR: NRA rule 3.4(b) Ammunition: Ammunition will be furnished by the competitor. AP, Tracer, and/or incendiary ammunition will not be permitted. Coaching: Coaching will not be allowed except for juniors. Targets: NRA approved MR-1FC bulls eye targets will be used.

4 Safety: Safety will be paramount in all activities! All rifles will have actions open with clips/magazines removed and an empty chamber indicator inserted into the chamber of the rifle except when on the line during the prep period or during firing. Handling of rifles and policing of brass (collection of brass forward of the firing line) will only be permitted at the direction of the Chief Range Officer. Range Rules: Persons appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be allowed on the range. Children, junior and pets must be controlled and shall be the responsibility of their sponsors. Parking will be in designated areas only. Anyone violating these rules will be denied range privileges. Other actions may be taken where deemed necessary. Awards Schedule: Trophies, certificates and/or cash will be awarded to match and class winners. One award will be given per five entries in each category/class, not to exceed three awards per classification. In the event there are less than three competitors in a class, the class will be combined upward by classification. Unclassified competitors will compete in a separate class/category for awards only. Special category awards for: High Senior, High Woman, High Junior. A TSRA F-Class Mid Range Champion will be awarded to F-Open and F-TR. Firing Sequence: Due to time constraints for range use, firing order of matches may be altered by the Match Director to facilitate an earlier conclusion each day. Course of Fire: Friday, Oct 20 Match 10 Two Man Team Match: Two sighting shots and 20 rounds for record fired in 2 stages from 600 yards. Each team member will fire a total of 40 record shots. Saturday, Oct 21 Match 1 Unlimited sighting shots and 20 rounds for record at 600 yards Match 2 Two sighting shots and 20 rounds for record at 600 yards Match 3 Two sighting shots and 20 rounds for record at 600 yards Match 4 Aggregate of matches 1 thru 3 Sunday, Oct 22 Match 5 Unlimited sighting shots and 20 rounds for record at 600 yards Match 6 Two sighting shots and 20 rounds for record at 600 yards Match 7 Two sighting shots and 20 rounds for record at 600 yards Match 8 Aggregate of matches 5 thru 7 Match 9 Grand Aggregate of matches 4 and 8.
