1 2018 TOUR Championship Broadcast Window & Pre-Tournament Notes FedExCup Notes The TOUR Championship is the culmination of the PGA TOUR s FedExCup season and the final of four FedExCup Playoff events. The top-30 players following the BMW Championship advance to the TOUR Championship. Each Playoff event offers 2,000 FedExCup points to the winner. The FedExCup points are reset following the BMW Championship giving all 30 players in the field at the TOUR Championship a mathematical chance to win the FedExCup. Top 5 Movement: Justin Rose (2 nd ), Dustin Johnson (4 th ), and Justin Thomas (5 th ) are the only three players who began the Playoffs inside the top-5 and remain there entering the TOUR Championship. Justin Rose fell outside of the top-5 after THE NORTHERN TRUST, however played his way back in through Dell Technologies and moved up one position at the BMW Championship. 2 Outside Top-30 Entering Playoffs: Hideki Matsuyama made the biggest move of any player who started the 2018 FedExCup Playoffs outside the top-30 in the standings moving from 76 th to 27 th (49 spots) in the standings. Since 2009, the biggest move in any one week of the FedExCup playoffs was Heath Slocum in Slocum moved 121 spots at THE NORTHERN TRUST from 124 th to 3 rd.
